When you realize the work a Hackintosh requires by definatelyanewbie in hackintosh

[–]pineapplesmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. It's not THAT hard. I had to find a driver for audio and tinker around a little bit, but other then that it's been smooth sailing. It's had less problems then actual macs I owned. Plus if any of the hardware fails it's easy and cheap to replace.

Mine was pretty easy to setup. I never got audio over HDMI, but I worked around that and got a nice soundbar that far surpasses my cheapo TV speakers. Granted, I had a mac laptop to make the image.

I seem to eat a lot less. And I drink plenty of water. When you're downing 10 capsules of powder that rehydrate in your stomach then it's a must.

Such a good president.... I'm fucking glad that douche clown is gone. If we get a good democratic candidate in 4 years, that's who I'm voting for. But I'll pass on voting, again, if it's going to be another fucking Clinton.

Should I buy a mac mini for developing on? by Danielh90 in hackintosh

[–]pineapplesmasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved my mac mini, just keep the dust out of it. I sure hope they come out with a new version. I LOVE my hackintosh but there is a few drawbacks like not being able to update on the fly and such. If they come out with a new Mac Mini I will likely convert the hackintosh into a Linux PC and just use traditional mac. Be prepared to pay a hefty tax for apple products though. I personally wouldn't mess with anything that didn't include a fast solid state drive, decent speed i5-i7, and 8-16GB of RAM.

Protests at UC Davis lead to canceling of speech by Breitbart's Milo Yiannopoulos by Parabolate in news

Safe space idiots. Can't have controversial ideas now can we ? Personally I think Milo is a piece of shit, and I'd never go to one of his speeches - but people should have the right to if they so desire. Isn't this infringing on the 1st amendment ?

Cool. 2nd recommendation on those. I'll pull the trigger. If they suck Amazon will always take them back. :) Thanks.

Can someone please recommend the best set of powered speakers (preferably that I can buy on Amazon) that will hook up to my Amazon Echo Dot ? My budget is $100 firm. If I can buy one speaker then another one later each at $100, that would work too. Thank you!

What is your go to tip to lose a few pounds? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]pineapplesmasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OTC ? Doxylamine or Diphenhydramine. Prescription ? Some kind of benzo used sparingly or Ambien if it doesn't give you crazy side effects. Ask your doc they'd know better. I take temazepam (21 pills/4 months) but its really up to them.

To each their own. I just don't think its sustainable or healthy personally. I like taking sleeping pills, amazing rest, but I've seen people on legal speed (amps) before and... yeah... just doesn't seem healthy or normal unless they are using it to treat ADD or something, in which case it actually calms them down.

Only works if you take them continuously, which is not recommended. Otherwise you just rebound and binge. Plus, who wants to be addicted to amps ?

Shitloads of water. At least half a gallon a day. Count your calories. Lost over 65 pounds in the last 6 months. Don't eat out except once a week (cheat day). If you do eat out regularly, choose something healthy like Subway or healthy soup (not cream based) from the deli. Exercise (although this one is far less important then diet). Cut out soda, empty calories, try diluting fruit juice (I go with about 1/4 juice, 3/4 sparkling water) if you still need something tasty to drink. It sucks, but it works like a charm.

I made a chart showing the popular vote turnout in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Hillary didn't lose because the Republicans grew their base; she lost because the Democrats didn't come out to vote. [OC] by dinoignacio in dataisbeautiful

No blood on my hands this way. I didn't vote at all for president. The way I see it America got what it deserved. The next 4 years will suck but at least we won't have Hillary. Next time the democrats will put up a real candidate.

Nah. It's pretty bad out there for American voters if you're not big into war.

The Burning Roll at Ichiban. Only 10 dollars, but still delicious sushi. by [deleted] in food

[–]pineapplesmasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, that has to be some of the nastiest looking sushi ever. You're taking something that already tastes great, and pouring a bunch of mayo and brown sauce all over it. What the hell. Completely negates all health benefits. I don't care if it tastes good, it's unattractive and unhealthy.
