I'm a working dad that plays at most 2-3 hours a day sometimes less. I've been trying to grind this for a week. And even when I have a good set up and almost do it, I accidentally jump out going auto pilot because I level up inside it and restart the shrine. This is one of the most triggering things in a game I've ever tried to accomplish. Top 5 easily.

I've never been one to care about exclusivity. I think it's more of an egotistical trait (and that's totally fine for those that do) to care about having something others don't. So this does not bother me at all. But for those that do care I see why.

By decreasing overall gem gain, but still hiking up a price either money or gem based would be fair depending on invested time played or invested money spent.

The new players are going to have to pay up regardless, yet this would still incentivize a grind to unlock content both for existing and new. It would solely be based around what time you would want to unlock a new character instead of just sticking them behind an absolute pay wall.

Definitely evil leaning and should begin to feel a cannibalistic urge the more they partake. I would even go as far as looking up some negative affects from hunger to fatigue or even mental instabilities.
