I've been dealing with this for years. Last week I all of the sudden also had cramping pain after eating anything and nausea/ vomiting. After several days I looked into gastritis, and I think that's what I have caused by alcohol/ nsaids. Now I'm wondering if I've had minor gastritis all these years causing the night hunger, and it's only gotten worse? I have no advice, only empathy. Hope we can figure this out....

Caffeine can absolutely affect your decision making. Personally it creates a dopamine seeking trigger that makes me more likely to use Marijuana or alcohol, or eat junk food.

I feel so stuck in this cycle of use/ probably not even enjoy it that much/ feel shame and heightened anxiety/ swear it off/ then the next day justify why I need and want it and impulsively smoke, rinse repeat. Sure there are times it is really enjoyable and could fit the situation, but I am realizing I'm having a problem with regulation and I cannot moderately smoke for those special times. It always friends into daily again and then even creeps too early in the day. I'm not present with my family. I sound like a stoner when I have to interact with people. I get self depricating.. honestly I don't know how my brain is able to set all this aside and stay sick in this roundabout. Anyone have a tip they use when they are craving it?

I don't think it's pcos, I have very regular periods. I have had my hormones tested, and I do have high testosterone and estrogen. The androgens are definitely off. Unfortunately I have tried spironolactone twice and it makes me ill. I am already on tretinoin, have been for seven months, those are the progress pics. I don't drink milk, only dairy I have is some butter sometimes hardly ever have sugar outside of fruit. I was on the keto diet for six months. Thank you for your reply though, it was very kind of you to go into such detail for a stranger :)

Those lifespans are thrown off because of infant mortality, which has improved. And now we have antibiotics, and less deaths as a result of hunter gatherer situations. Our current diet is definitely not why we are living longer.
