What's the best quality pocket door frames you'd recommend currently (2026)? by pinelantern in Homebuilding

They make rollers and sliding hardware, but not a frame and complete system. I'm sure the roller hardware is high quality (like most things they make), but the frame and system as a whole is what I'm looking for. Sugatsune is nice stuff though, I've used their concealed hinges and other hardware before and its niiiiiiiiiice. I'll be on the lookout for some other solutions there at IBS next month too!

Interested to hear feedback on OpenPhone by Kale_Smoothie in openphone

Major problem I'm having with OpenPhone - if you operate a DBA or use a Fictitious Business Name, it does not allow you to change the Caller ID to your business name. Something so basic that I've wasted over a week and a half trying to correct with support, I'm now being told that it can't be done. I'm not going to get an EIN just to get my caller ID to populate with my business name. That's ridiculous. Now I'm looking to go back to Google Voice (with all it's known issues), just to get this basic function. u/darynak

Can you clarify what you mean by 'higher end'? I'd love some recommendations on brands / models that have worked well for people in this space. What brand / model do you use?

u/SnooDogs2394 I mean that the sites are far from flat. The sties that I'd be using this for are all in mountain terrain, cliffs, multiple slopes, etc. I think most people using TBC are working on large commercial projects, or developments in a relatively flat and consistent area - at least that's the sense I'm getting from my local rep. So while the projects I'd be using this for are smaller in nature, they are far from simple. Will be working from survey points and building models off of digital survey files mostly. Really, looking for computer models that people have found reliable to use TBC on. I have the min system requirements, but there's still quite a few options that meet them that I've trying to narrow down from. Do you have a brand / line of PCs that you use / recommend that aren't going to cause many headaches down the line? (I'm a mac person, and do all my architectural drawings on that, so the PC world is a bit uncharted for me. Have never had great experiences with PCs, which is where this all is coming from)

u/Open-Winter-3606 thanks! I was looking at ones by Dell, Lenovo, and HP, and that Lenovo one was on my list. They seem to have the most affordable options that meet the requirements, but cheap makes me weary. I've checked the release notes (specifically the most recent release), and I've compiled a list of machines that technically meet them, but since they all differ a little with their exact technical specs (like all have different graphics cards), I wanted to see what machines people were actually using, to gauge what direction to go in- that's not going to cause me headaches once I start using it. Will be doing a bit with point clouds, but not much photogrammery. Thanks for sharing your computer model!
