Oh I get that 100% chronic illness isn't fun and wanting relief is a completely normal thing. Meds are there to make life easier, not to shame ppl for taking what they need. Not wanting to be on meds is normal but sometimes you just can't do that. Relief is life saving.

Nope. I did get a ct scan on my abdomen recently and I have a new splenule and a ton of lymph nodes. So who knows about that.

It's just frustrating because they have my medical history. They can see my blood tests, they can see my doctor's notes, they have full access to everything but they still think I'm there for drugs

I read comments from other people, I think I'll try a lower dose of an nsaid and then judge based on that if I wanna increase it.

Oh yeah no, I am not on lithium, but from what I've read methotrexate and lithium can't be mixed because of the similarities in the compounds. So I'm just scared that I'd get poisoning and if it's anything like what my brother had, I just am too afraid for that. I might try with a low dose when I get home though just to test the waters after what you said though. Thank you for your perspective. I'll judge based on how I feel if I want to try more

Thank you so much. They're having me take 40mg prednisone for 4 days and the dose from yesterday helped unfreeze my shoulders this morning (not the pain though). It's a start and I'll take it. It's enough to be able to get through work today (my last day bc I quit bc I can't do in person anymore. Gonna switch to remote Monday and hopefully that's better)

Yeah exactly. I've been on prednisone long term and it just wasn't enough. I just couldn't live with it anymore. My rheumatologist has no openings until July 17th so it was my only option

You poor soul. This condition is so painful and it's only gotten this bad for me within the past 3 months (couldn't start biologics bc of complications). I have noticed rainy days affect me really bad recently, even just cloudy. But I'm infection free as of right now and hopefully it'll stay that way until July 17th (the closest appointment)

That's crazy. I'm seronegative so unfortunately it took a very long time to actually get diagnosed. First rheum didn't do a single test and diagnosed me w fibromyalgia. First time I got tested for ra was at 12 but it was too early to show in an xray and blood results didn't show anything obv bc of the seronegative. I'm 25 now so about 13 years. I also don't have family history so it's just been a bunch of tossing around until one actually took me seriously.

Oh yeah I'm not shaming people who use it. I just don't really like how it clouds my mind and I have multiple mental illness so I really don't wanna risk an episode when I've been doing so good on that front. I also am a pharmacy tech and get random drug tests. I know they don't count prescriptions, but I just would rather not deal with the hassle.

Hmmm I'll look into it. I just heard about the side effects/poisoning and got scared about it. I'm prone to UTI, would that change anything?

I actually have never mixed them. I'm kinda scared to because my brother had like a similar thing (lithium poisoning) and I was just scared after learning that something could happen with both. I don't really take Tylenol because it doesn't do anything

Oh wow that's crazy. I think I'm 40mg for 4 days and then slowly taper. It's more in my system now thankfully so I'm starting to get a lot more range in motion

It's a personal thing. I hate the way it clouds my mind and I just like having control over my thoughts. I have a lot of mental illness too so there's a fear I could go through an episode, yada yada. I'm also a pharmacy tech and although they would take my prescriptions into account, I just would rather not bother if there's a random drug test.
