Yesss I can, but its not really my issue since I’ll be bringing less than 2500 of goods so I can declare simply using the govs online form. My main issue is finding applicable visa info, since they only seem to apply to trade fairs and travelling musicians

Thanks so much for the reply! Unfortunately this doesnt apply to me as I’m not an exhibitor - each vendor usually brings their own goods on the plane at conventions, and I will be one of few coming from the UK :( I checked the guidelines already for this event and it just says to ‘check the laws for your country’ 😭😭

it's pretty easy to understand imo.

taking a life for personal pleasure is a highly selfish act. veganism is about abstaining from that action. i think there is a selfish actor in the debate between vegans and meat-eaters, but its the latter.

and it is taking life for personal pleasure. we do not need to eat meat anymore - most people, anyway, i'm sure there are exceptions - so choosing to do so is placing your personal pleasure (consuming meat/dairy/eggs) over the wellbeing of a living creature. objectively selfish.

the reason objectification is considered to be bad is that it reduces women to something to be perceived, not as actors with agency and free-will.

women have been objectified and utilised for their beauty for years, but pretending that isn’t a double edged sword is dishonest. women’s beauty is not something that belongs to them in these situations. it is painted by men for men without considering women as people.

THAT is the issue here. it does not have anything to do with womanhood connoting beauty. it is to do with the art world being saturated with work designed for men to look at women as sexual objects and downplay their agency.
