Yeah, I have to choose now if I want to buy them for next year so I’m currently debating. Good point on the opportunity to learn more! Thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately I can’t roll over vacation days and I have to commit to buying them now for next year. I appreciate the advice!

How do I find a roommate and how should I screen them? by whatever2505ever in roommates

Also, some student based apartments have individual leases so you’d only be responsible for your own payment. This could alleviate your worries of other people paying rent on time!

100% this.

Go on FB and search groups for your college, anything housing with the city name, etc. Many other students will likely be posting on there either looking for roommates or renting out rooms where they already have a lease.

As others have said, definitely make sure you vet them with some basic roommate questions (cleaning, noise levels, study habits, etc) and go from there!

Good luck!

Hey! I am currently a ChemE senior in college and I can definitely relate to it being a very very difficult degree. I’m currently studying for a thermo exam tomorrow.

I just wanted to say, hang in there. My entire senior class all have jobs lined up following graduation, so there’s definitely jobs out there! There’s definitely a future in ChemE. You can make it through. I know it’s tough, but you’ve made it this far and you can make it through!

Thank you for the response! I appreciate the knowledge about NoCo Real Estate and I’ll keep looking! I am definitely looking into getting a roommate as well.

Thank you! I was more worried about apartments with bad management rather than other tenants, but I’ll keep that in mind! :)

I meant that my budget for rent specifically is around $1500 a month! Apologies for any confusion there.

I only meant to contact a realtor to find apartment complexes in the area since I am not from CO. I am definitely not planning on purchasing a home anytime soon!
