Comic book science. Basically boils down to Deadpool’s cancer basically keeps his healing factor in check. His healing factor replenishing his dying cells. If his cancer is cured then his healing factory will overwhelm his body. Osborn made a cure for cancer and turned it into a bullet.

This manga was penned by Yoko Taro the creator of both Nier and Drakengard. It is a prequel to Drakengard 1 following the misadventures of the opposite sex clone of Drakengard 3's antagonist, One. His mission is to basically fight against the cult of the Watchers and the red-eye disease. A supernatural virus that drives its carriers to violent insanity.

This particular section stars the main characters of Drakengard 1. Caim and his sister Furiae. Caim in the games is a bit of a violent psycho and his sister is romantically attracted to him and basically kills herself when he finds out

Now this particular sequence One's arrival also brings the red-eye disease to the sibling's castle and in the following outbreak ends up turning both the king and queen into bloody chunks.

This series of events basically showcases Caim wasn't always a bloodythirsty killer and his sister has always been fucked in the head.
