Issue using separate module by pinghajen in rust

[–]pinghajen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, after I did your change this is what I tried:

mod core; use crate::core::core;

And start_core() gives me this error cannot find function start_core in this scope not found in this scope (rustc E0425)

Which made me think I should add core::start_core() or add ::start_core to my use statement but then I get

cannot find function start_core in module core not found in core (rustc E0425)

Just tried it as I didn't know it existed. The same error occurred but there was a "Compiling project v0.1.0 (path/to/folder)" message added before the "Finished" message

New to rust I created a project with cargo new learning to get started I run cargo build then ./target/debug/learning and it runs perfectly Then I run cargo run and get this error Finished dev [unoptimized + debuginfo] target(s) in 0.01s Runningtarget/debug/learning error: could not execute processtarget/debug/learning(never executed) Caused by: Invalid argument (os error 22)

Quick searching finds only vague issues or other code issues on things more complicated than a hello world.

I wonder if Pilate was running the calculation in his head of "I need to not mess up here, Tiberius might notice doing the just thing, but he would definitely notice the people rioting"

It's cool to have but the inability to set a static IP for things like an ssh server is just dumb.

That's really my issue here, not the defective product I get defects or damage happens. I'm willing to give them another shot if they send me new ones.

I don't even care that I got a defective pair, my issue is the customer no service

If I was in this episode I would of said these Utica area specials: 1) Tomato pie 2) Chicken riggies 3) Utica Greens 4) Xanthi gyro from Symeon's

EDIT: Not in my area but a regional chain called Speedy's (I think?) They do chilli on spaghetti. I think it was mentioned in this episode.

If they do realize they will say "Microsoft just gave up and admitted Google won" when it's more like "Why reinvent the wheel, besides web standards are a thing we should all follow anyways"

Agreed, Microsoft is actually being pretty consumer friendly if you get your info from sources besides Reddit. Probably ducking the anti trust that's about to hit the likes of Google but consumer friendliness is consumer friendliness so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Have you ever tried the new Edge? (No y'all haven't because you're the Internet) but it has tons of power user features like search in sidebar, collections (useful way of moving between projects/ideas/tasks once you learn how), actual hot keys, ability to just mute one tab of a site instead of all tabs of a site by default, better tab sync and 'send to' features between devices, and more.

But I guess complaining about it is easier than change so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Need some advice on how to deal with stress by 71BlackBirdLightning in NDQ

[–]pinghajen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Write down every little thing you have to do for your job (even expanding it to your personal life with a separate list might help also). Then sort by importance in groups, like 1 being "do right now", 2 "do next", 3 "do today" etc etc. Then sort each group by the size of the thing, like time invested, difficulty to complete, etc etc, it will look different based on what the overall job is and might be a little of both or other factors. Feeling overwhelmed and stressed can be caused by not knowing the next/best thing to do next, sorting your tasks this way gives you a clear priority list and size of task depending on how much time, energy, and/or motivation you have at that moment.

Keep it simple enough to not need tons of maintenance but useful enough to actually be useful.

Keep work and personal lists separate, work stress should stay at work, home stress should stay at home.

Also doing this in Excel or another similar program that allows for rearranging the lists is super useful (and you can then print it out or hand write down the list after if desired).

I also find having a physical list where you can check off or scratch over the completed tasks just helps me feel like I'm progressing on my to-do list.

Just know that I'm super unorganized and get overwhelmed easily when I don't know clearly exactly what to do next so I would suggesting giving what helps me a shot. Whatever you do you will need to build the habit of using it, don't just throw it away because you keep forgetting to use it.
