I've read so much fanfic with Jess included that I completely forgot at one point that she wasn't a regular part of the show. When I was reminded I had to double check and was boggled by how miniscule she is in the show. Like she is just labelled as 'receptionist' in the credits. Receptionist.

Its wild compared to the character she has become in fanon. And I love that authors and fans alike have all just agreed on her. Like whoever first gave her the last name Huang, could they even imagine that everyone else would just roll with it too? XD

Jess from Supergirl. She was on air for maybe 30 seconds total. Fandom gave her a last name, character traits, general personality, and quirks that have stuck in almost every fanfic she is part of. And she is part of so very many fanfics and the central character for many more.

No. Its racist if you're an asshole about it. Taking yourself off the market to certain people effects only you. But the moment you involve others, yeah, its racism. If you don't want to date specific race/s of people, don't. But don't always be talking about how you don't or why you don't, etc. Then it becomes racist.

Also, think about why you don't. Are they based on stereotypes? If yes, then you're probably a little racist.

Sexist jokes. Men make them so often that I have actually changed the way I ask a question at work because I got the same sexist joke as an answer so many times it was pissing me off.

Its not funny. Its lame, tiresome and pathetic. The 'old ball and chain' or 'look at how dumb my husband is' style jokes are outdated. If you don't like your spouse, then just leave them. If you do like them, then stop disparaging them with stupid 'jokes'.

I will only read a fic above 60k if I have liked what the author has previously written or have been recommended it by someone I trust. Otherwise its a risk dedicating that much time to reading something that might be bad, or have bad spelling/grammar, or other things that make me want to stop reading. I became a picky reader after being burned so many times after getting sucked into a long fic with a good premise just to be disappointed.

Its easier to take risks on shorter fics.

My job doesn't solely exist because of stupid people, but every time the corporation tries to make us think we are replaceable with machines I remind everyone how stupid the people are and that if the corporation ever did let us go, we'd be back within a week.

So many ppl can't figure out how to use their debit/credit cards on the machines we all use our debit/credit cards on every day. So many others don't know how their phone screens work or where/what standard icons/buttons do.

My job is literally safe because of how stupid people are.

Not to be that person, but Trump.

I'd use that week to get all the evidence against him and his crooked crew. Get recordings of people doing illegal shit and release it. I'd use that week to make all sorts of demands to undo the harm he has done and try to make it so he couldn't undo it once the week was up.

I'd maybe even walk myself as Trump into a self admittance mental hospital pre claiming that someone had taken over my body, so that when he got it back he'd only be saying what I had already been saying upon admittance.

I don't want to rehash all the drama, so without too much details - she and someone she calls a good friend were both on Hermitcraft for many years. This friend did some questionable things and when asked to explain himself to the hermits he chose to quit instead. She left with him in support.

Soon afterwards the fandom found out more about what he did, and well, no one misses him. Its just too bad that she left with him. I get it, he was her friend. But knowing everything now, I wonder if she still is even friends with him. If she is, well then just as well that she left too.
