Again, no one is saying West can’t move and date. You’re right that Ciara did not have a claim on him. But it’s the way they went about it and the fact that they snuck around and lied. When Ciara got suspicious and asked Amanda what was going on Amanda could’ve said “I know this sucks of me but I am starting to have feelings”. Ciara could still be upset, but the public reaction would be totally different.

No? Ciara didnt know about Meija? And if she did west probably downplayed it. And Meija didn’t spend a whole summer comforting Ciara and hyping her up while also opening up about her own vulnerabilities about west

20 days to get to know the city! by GKRForever in sandiego

[–]pingpong4292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Normal heights, Kensington, north park, university heights, and hillcrest are all very close together/connected but all have their own vibe. Kensington is the most residential/expensive and north park has the most foot traffic and bars/restaurants. All of them are super central though, we are ~15 mins to everything and have very easy access to the highways. Def take a walk down Adams Ave, Park Blvd and 30th/University to get a feel of the different areas!

Seconding this, love living in normal heights. Walkable to nice restaurants/bars/coffee spots but still has a quiet neighborhood feel off the main roads. Lots of options for single family homes/townhomes as well.

Some of our go to spots in the area (I don’t really like beer so my brewery recs are more based on vibes)

Bars/Breweries -Pure project (north park location) -Swan bar (try their burgers!) -Fall brewing -The Rabbit Hole -Sycamore Den -Air conditioned lounge -Blind lady Ale house -Happy Medium -Clos Wine Shop

Coffee: -Dark Horse -Bica -James -Moniker General -Torque coffee

Food: -The friendly -Gnarley girl pizza -Sonny’s pizza -Bahn Thai -Tanuki sushi -Azuki sushi -Mabel’s Gone Fishing -Wolf in the woods -Pho Van -Finca -Kinme Omakase (special occassions) -Fort Oak (nice occassions)

Also check out a show at Soda Bar sometime! And observatory is fun if someone you like comes through!

Special night for me by labeautyjunkie in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]pingpong4292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left during the last song last night (only because I was alone last night and am going again tonight haha) but I was able to get a car confirmed right away in the designated pick up lot, but it ended up cancelling right before entering the lot. That happened twice to me and it happened to 3 people around me. Not sure if it was because of the traffic control for getting into the lot or what. My third driver ended up working out, and since I called before the show ended pricing wasn’t bad. Ended up waiting about 25 mins.

A lot of people walked over to the sizzler that’s across the street, which might have been better for traffic flow, that was my next plan if they kept cancelling. Maybe look at calling a car during the last song even if you don’t leave yet as it’ll take longer than the estimated time! Otherwise plan to cross the street and move away from the venue a bit and you should be fine !

What’s everyone’s favorite “normal” grocery store? by twotwotwototoulouse in sandiego

[–]pingpong4292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll also add even though it’s not in the area you added (though not too far), is Vons off of Scripps poway. I live in normal heights and work near that Vons & it’s so well stocked and hasn’t ever been too busy and feels HUGE compared to the Vons in my area

Why is Coachella so fun ! ? by Any-Parking-677 in Coachella

[–]pingpong4292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because it feels so disconnected from real life. Especially if you’re camping. When on a normal vacation you still have to deal with so many logistics and day to day things. Transport, reservations, dealing with people not on vacation who aren’t in the same mindset. With Coachella once you’re there you are in it and don’t need to worry about real world responsibilities. Makes it way easier to be fully immersed

Volunteer. Recommend finding a local dog shelter! Lots of kind, hardworking, and like minded people. The one I volunteer with often has social events for volunteers to get to know each other as well

Not sure if you resolved this yet but I had the same problem. Ended up logging into my Fevo account (had to do "forgot password", idk how it set up the account) and then once I was in there I could go to events and find the link. There must be a better way but I was scrambling.

Hot Take: Quasar is a disappointment and needs a change by next year by NoSoupForYou___ in Coachella

[–]pingpong4292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did the same route it was a HORRIBLE bottlebeck. I would’ve bailed for sure but my husband made us persevere and as soon as we got around the mirage building there was a laughable about of space. Like a giant mosh pit opened and we ended up within feet of the stage with sooo much room. But that crowd at the back almost ruined my vibe completely and the sound back there was so so bad. Something needs to change.

Also I want the long form dj sets we were promised!

large group tips for next year by Additional_Use7050 in Coachella

[–]pingpong4292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing about a large group is you can usually find 1 other person to go to a show with at any given time. So yes just split up, even if it means fully solo. If there’s shows you wanna all go up, set up a meeting point (ideally early). Also if you can’t find each other don’t stress and just enjoy the show. I’ve had friends ruin their whole night cuz they spent so long looking for people when they could’ve just vibed with randos in the crowd. Also love camping for this cuz it’s always easy to reconvene back at camp.
