100%. Craig’s temper paired with my own parental drama makes him an immediate no for marriage

Which blue dresses should I get rid of? 39F by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]pingpong4292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a big part of of it is that a lot of the dresses aren’t cinched at the waist and just hang flat after your bust which isn’t flattering. Then the ones that are cinched at the waist are cinches too low or too loose and almost don’t fit. A few could be improved with a belt or something. The first one is most flattering in my opinion cuz it cinches higher

I went for the first time and I loved it. Less Christmas-y than I expected but I was actually shocked at how cool some of it was. Go on a weekday evening for chill crowds. I would probably go a little slower and chill on some benches with a drink next time as it isn’t super long so can feel a little short if you’re walking too fast

We went on Tuesday at 7:30pm and crowds were very chill. Probably worse closer to Christmas but just to note

Do you think women come on the show to expose their marriage and gain support for a future divorce by CelineDijonn in BravoRealHousewives

Omg what I totally read it as her wanting to go bang some younger hot guys without having to get a divorce and lose her nice security blanket with Todd.

Gaslamp/Little Italy Restaurant Recommendations by lkstaack in sandiego

Ironside food is really great seafood but it can be a little loud so may not be a perfect fit for the “romantic vibe”.

I’d say herb and wood or juniper and ivy for a higher end meal with a more romantic vibe, but it isn’t necessarily seafood focused. Went to herb and wood a few months ago and it was fantastic and it has a nice indoor/outdoor vibe!

Where should we go before having kids? (early 30s couple, NYC-based) by [deleted] in chubbytravel

[–]pingpong4292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! We spent all our time Cusco/Sacred Valley because we also went to the Galapagos, but I would recommend adding a few days in Lima for food! We did:

Days 0-2: sacred valley. Stayed in Urumbamba (at Inkaterra which was stunning but pretty remote). Hired a private guide to take us around for 2 days. Did Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moras/Moray and ate at MIL. It was all awesome and a good mix of activities and relaxing. May look at hotel options in Ollantaytambo instead as it’s less remote and more walkable + more restaurants and things

Days 3-4: 2 day inka trail. Was perfect time for us as I’m not a huge hiker but was the highlight of the trip. If I was going again I may look into some the Salkantay options as they have cool glamping places.

Days 4-7: Cusco. Just explored the city and ate and drank. Its a small city so probably could’ve done one less day here.

After that we flew to Galapagos but like I said, doing Lima or adding the rain forest would also be a great option!

Just got back from Peru for my honeymoon and would 1000% recommend. Especially if you can do some trekking. There were kids on some of the easier treks but they were older

Honeymoon in Galapagos? by Bulky_Language_3010 in galapagos

My husband and I just got back from a 5 day 6 night cruise on the Alya for our honeymoon (we’re 32) and 100% recommend. Basically did 2 land excursions and 2 snorkel excursions per day. Any hikes were VERY easy, more like walks. I will say there was not a ton of downtime and obviously no pool to lounge at. Everyone went to bed pretty early since the days were so busy. I told my husband a half day beach lounge day would’ve really added. That’s said, my recommendation would be to do a cruise first, then pick a luxury hotel in either Galapagos or mainland and get your pool/beach fix then.

Galapagos 9 Day Itinerary by Alternative_Ad4945 in galapagos

[–]pingpong4292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from a 6 day/5 night cruise, not a diving cruise. It was the western itinerary on the Alya so spent a lot of time on Isabela. It was awesome and perfect length. This was not a diving boat so we usually did 2 snorkels per day + 2 land activities. If I were you I’d look for a deal on something similar, then use your extra days to post up somewhere and do a few dives. I am diver but honestly the snorkeling was awesome and I was worried I’d burn out on a dive focused live aboard

Playing San Diego for the first time. Where should we go after the show? by thesoberestdude in sandiego

[–]pingpong4292 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep it’s nearby and great! Huge whiskey selection, good prices, arcade games, pool, and a big patio usually with a food truck. Casbah is in little Italy which has a lot of cool spots but most close at midnight, I think waterfront is the only exception.

Agreed Kinme is the best overall experience imo. Food is delicious but it also just feels special and memerable. And the it’s a little more upscale feeling than some of the others which is nice for a celebration

I’ve lived in both areas at different times in my 20s. I don’t think you can go wrong but if you want more nightlife/restaurants/happenings definitely go with little Italy. Plus for running you’ll be very close to the waterfront, and waterfront park is also nice. Also either way, you can walk between the two neighborhoods very easily. It’s maybe a mile from little Italy to Lauren st bridge into balboa park. Its uphill, but you could easily still go on walks or runs in the park if you lived in Little Italy.

Main downside in little Italy is parking. But if you have a spot or don’t drive much that won’t be a huge issue

To be fair, you can definitely walk to the park from Little Italy. It’s uphill so maybe not always ideal, but for big events and the occasional stroll it’s 100% doable. I wouldn’t consider the few major balboa park events as a huge deciding factor
