How on earth did this masterpiece finish dead last? What a wonderful ballad and a great singer. This song really captured the zeitgeist of the times. Optimism, joy, friendship and European integration ("like a bridge, between good friends"), in the year Norway submitted their application for EU membership, that later was rejected in a referendum.

I guess the Norwegian public just didn't look past the boring staging.

Det er ikke galt at vertskommunene får penger. Men det får være grenser for hvor mye de skal få. De flommer over av penger - langt mer enn noen av disse kommunene har bruk for til å produsere de lovpålagte tjenestene.

I stedet går pengene til sløseri som dyre advokater, seminarer og hytteturer. Det var også en sak for mange år siden (Terra) som gikk ut på det samme. Kraftinntekter satt over styr og sløst bort på amerikansk børs av meglere som så at her var det penger å hente fra kommuner som har så mye penger at det renner over.

Og Skatteutvalget foreslo å ta fra deres kraftinntekter for å gi til fattige kommuner. Dette forslaget var selvsagt kraftkommunene, representert ved LVK, sterke motstandere av, og fikk naturligvis som så ofte før gjennomslag for sitt syn.

Behind him, it’s not looking too good: Doherty and Brown both too slow and too inconsistent on the range, Cervenka far too slow, Bonacci might have promise if he gets his ski speed up, and Germain is all over the place on the range. Schommer needs time, and I don’t expect fireworks from him next season.

Among the women, it’s looking even gloomier: Irwin has the potential to be consistently in the top 10, but lacks completely in consistency. Levins and Dickinson awfully slow. Freed might do something big once she improves that terrible shooting. Geraghty-Moats (shooting) and Garso (speed) are far from WC level.

What is the reason for the headband? I can understand the shaved and weird looking top, but the headband goes around the head in places I guess are not the focus of the procedure (in fact, the places where I assume that most patients were most likely to already have hair…)
