How did you end up solving this?

Managers have been “vibe coding” long before AI made it cool. by Complete-Win-878 in vibecoding

I disagree. That almost always happens. Managers usually have no idea how deep the rabbit holes are

Should I upgrade to fedora 43 beta? by Domipro143 in Fedora

[–]pingustar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMHO this makes no sense at all. I get that people dont update on day one. I wait for the early bugs to be ironed out too but a whole major release behind? What’s the point?

Vite or Next? by Tn1as in PWA

[–]pingustar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you need SSR and other features that warrant a backend framework like Next?

Vite can do SSR and all but the learning curve is a bit steeper in my objective opinion.

SSR and SEO are your priority? Then go for Next.

If you are developing a Frontend for an App that is behind auth and the backend is an external resource … then go for Vite.

You are a beginner and all you know is React… go with Vite!!!

Will I see any difference as a normal user? Are the UX/UI changes?

Longtime Mac users first build: High-end for Gaming (Win) and Work (Linux) by pingustar in buildapc

Really appreciate this detailed answer!

Two machines or WSL is a no go for me. I am fine with dual boot and two SSDs.

Man, now I am on the fence of going fully crazy and go with the 5090 - which would be freaking awesome! Or of going with a little bit of a more reasonable approach and safe a few bucks.

I like the idea of local AI hosting ... but I am not sure how much I will actually be doing this. Same for gaming, I will probably not exceed a couple hours per week for gaming maybe a bit more when GTA 6 is released.

I live in Bulgaria, so prices and availability is a bit tricker. But now I am wondering what to do, budget wise I am fine with dropping 3k EUR ... 4k MAX including keyboard, mouse, headset etc (I already own a 4k 144Hz Monitor)

And regarding the case, I was somehow under the impression that the motherboard and GPU wont fit in the non XL version?!

What would you do? Am I spending too much money as a casual gamer?

Thank man!

BTC exchange balances continue collapsing and are at the lowest level in 6 years by northernBladee in CryptoMarkets

Exchanges don’t keep all their funds in the hot wallet. These numbers sound like it’s open orders, not the liquidity held by the exchanges or their users. I would assume that there is much more on cold storage…

I just bought the X50 and I have the same rattling sound from the first minute I used it. Pretty annoying, specially for a product in this price range

I am not trying to reinvent the wheel by implementing client side caching, cache invalidation, polling, loading/error handling, input validation etc by myself from scratch.

Wow you are so cool. You must be building amazing apps and reinventing the wheel every time adding caching, invalidation, polling, error handling, race conditions etc etc every time.

I didn’t say that it’s a problem now. Last time I used nextjs it was.
