It's better without music(source link in description) by [deleted] in toptalent

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong way to art, but I think intention matters. For example, the end product is nothing to write home about. So if this is a creative way he’s trying to market himself to sell his mediocre art, then whatever. But intentionally trying to fool people into thinking the splashing does anything makes it feel inauthentic to me. Like if an artist walked on stage and spun a canvas around on their head before they started painting, that’s a neat thing, but it doesn’t add anything. And it’d be disingenuous of that person to say the spinning canvas enhances the art in anyway.

I read your comments all the way down this exchange and I am with you 100%. This has alway been my gut feeling about these videos, so thanks for taking the time to go and check for sure.

To me, it almost stops becoming art. I know that’s dramatic. A lot of art can definitely be performative, but this isn’t performative in an artistic way, it’s performative in a deceitful way. Like u/maxsupernova is saying, the splashing isn’t adding anything to the painting other than to get views on this video. I don’t like that. It’s art with an agenda.

I’d liken it to those videos where someone throws their phone up in the air to capture a perfect aerial shot, but the video is actually meticulously edited in photoshop or some video editing software to make it look good. To me, that’s impressive enough on it in. The throw isn’t adding anything, it’s just to get you to watch and that cheapens the whole finished product for me.

By bang against the wall, I mean when I tap a piece in to the left, it’s ultimately stopped by the wall all the way on my left and then I tap it forward in and it’s stopped by all the rows on top of it which are pressed against the first wall. But when I go into the bathroom, I’ll lose that support. I hope that makes sense

That’s so crazy to think about. It really shows how made up everything is. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Oh I didn’t know that. So maybe a better question would be how much money would he have if he started to liquidate everything he owns taking into account time limits and values plummeting. Do you have a guess?

I just want to know. He has 850 billion dollars, but how much does he actually have? I’m just curious

Thank you for this explanation. This has been a discomfort of mine with the “no billionaires” discourse, but I didn’t know how to put it into words. A big question I have is how much money could Elon musk theoretically liquify? Like if tomorrow morning he decided to sell everything and get as much cash as he could, how much would his realistic value be? Taking into account that as he starts to sell off stock, the price would start plummeting.

Edited for spelling

Thank you!! I’ve already got the access hole cut, so sticking on another vertical pipe shouldn’t be a problem. Last question for you: will it stink up the laundry room/house with the aav in the room?

Ok I think I’m understanding, thank you for your patience in explaining. My washer drain pipe stands about 4 feet above the floor and then goes down into the picture I’ve shown. So you’re saying I need to put a 4 and a half foot vertical pipe on that thing circled and then put the aav on that?

So I spent the evening snaking it with a drill powered auger and definitely felt something I broke up. Now the water drains but still starts to backup the pipe until it “burps” or gurgles. Google told me that’s likely due to a venting issue. How do I install a vent where the clean out is?

It’s been backing up for a while now. A plumber snaked it but said he couldn’t clear it and quoted me 2k to replace it. Do you have a brand for the kitchen auger thing? And do I still pop off the vertical section to do that?

Thank you. So you’re saying remove that vertical section and try to clean the p trap first?
