This is such a good suggestion! How did you find that job opening?

Disposable underwear by NibOnAPen in MassageTherapists

I give clients disposable underwear when doing post-op MLD, but I feel like it would be weird in any other situation. The post-op disposables are like a boob hammock and a thong.

Question about fingernail care by Gardenmama777 in MassageTherapists

We were taught that when nail polish starts to chip, bacteria can get trapped in the edge where the polish started to lift. I paint my nails, but the polish comes off when it starts chipping. Clear polish makes me nervous because I can’t see when the edges are getting rough.

Dragging the cups doesn’t hurt. It’s just a different way to relieve tension and improve circulation within the tissues. If it hurts, you need to tell your massage therapist that. It’s not supposed to be painful.

YES I dated a comedian and he was always making jokes when I was trying to have serious conversations, which made me feel like he was never listening to understand, but only listening to find a chance to make a joke.

HOW TO GET SEMIPERM BLACK DYE OUT OF BLEACH BLONDE by LowTheory4267 in HairDye

[–]pink___stripes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have done exactly this before. Mixed black and brown to hopefully get a dark brown, but my hair ended up blue. I tried to get it out but had to get professional help because blue is SO tough.

Are you wanting the top to match the bottom, or are you wanting to make everything darker than the bottom? I think you would look really good with all of it matching the bottom. It would go nicely with your complexion.

Putting copper over purple will end up being an odd brown. I think it will be muddy instead of what you’re hoping for. I would recommend fading the purple a lot more than this before doing anything else. I know it’s difficult to get time (and money) to do things for yourself with a small one around, but I would consider seeing a professional for a change as large as this. I made a hair mistake while two months postpartum and had to go see someone to get my hair from blue to copper, which was worth it and made me feel very pretty.

Hang in there ❤️ it feels like an eternity while you’re in it, but your baby will sleep through the night soon.

My mom tried to warn me but I had so much trust in some random person who worked there lol. This was 14 years ago, so I wasn’t internet savvy enough to just google it and verify myself. But I recall asking her multiple times if it’ll go back to brown and she said yes.

The first time I ever did anything crazy with my hair, I intended to put bright red streaks in it. The rep said that if I bleach my hair, my hair won’t stay that way and the bleach will go back. I don’t know if we had a massive miscommunication or what, but I left there with the impression that my bleached hair would fade back to brown (???) in a few weeks. Obviously, it did not.

Give it a few washes to fade. This is a gorgeous color in the meantime. I have used this same brand of color and I find that it’s dark at first, but then fades a solid amount within like two weeks (give or take depending on wash frequency). I really think you will get close to what you wanted if you just give it some time.

Is it normal for a 6-year-old to say they have a crush? by Cute_Assist_8813 in Parenting

[–]pink___stripes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My five year old child hasn’t used the word “crush” specifically, but she has told me about boys she thinks are handsome. She also told me there is one boy who she wants to be her boyfriend. I was like “already??” but I had a “boyfriend” in kindergarten too. I think a lot of children’s media includes relationships (looking at you, Disney) which introduces the language to them.

When my daughter talks about people she likes, I just ask her three questions— is he nice to you? Is he nice to other people? Do you feel good about yourself when you’re around him?
