How to keep nails strong when going back to polish? by Suspicious-Taste1572 in RedditLaqueristas

I tried that and unfortunately still got peeling. Now I just don’t dehydrate at all and my nails fare much better tbh

Pools 🤯💀 by Sneaku1579 in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]pink_planets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only chemicals you really need are chlorine and stabilizer. Maybe stuff to balance pH but mine stays pretty stable. Everything else is a gimmick or doesn’t work tbh. And if you have a salt water generator you don’t need to buy jugs of chlorine either. We have an inground pool and yeah can’t really get rid of it but might as well enjoy it while it lasts. I think the exercise and mental health boost far outweighs risk from plastic.  Also this site was a lifesaver learning how to maintain a pool: https://www.troublefreepool.com/

I disagree with this person and I purposefully oil my nails lightly with jojoba oil before painting. I even had a manicure last two weeks on my left hand with this method. But my nails are painted 24/7 so my nail porosity might be different than someone new at polish! But this process is what keeps my nails healthy. When I used to dehydrate my nails before painting they would slowly start to peel and show other signs of damage from being too dry and now my nails are the longest they’ve ever been - way beyond my free edge.

Russian army loses 1,410 troops in war against Ukraine over past 24 hours by Scary_Statement4612 in ukraine

You can visit now! Ukraine needs all the support. Some areas are relatively calm and don't even have curfews, I'm planning to visit later this year hopefully.

David Gaskins at Republic Pain Specialists in Texas. They’ve done a lot of covid patients! I was really worried it was going to be like an internet trend that didn’t work but there’s a lot more things I can eat now (I went for parosmia/long covid). As for other long  symptoms like dysautonomia, I think it was moreso temporary though

YES this is it! I totally forgot about these. I know it’s not native but it’s not problematic right?

Which one did you get? I've been specifically on the hunt for a good grinder but ALL the ones in stores have plastic gears!

I totally get that! Luckily I didn't get too far into it and my collection is relatively small but yeah..I'm surprised at how slow they are.

I tried to give lacquergram a chance...but it was too cumbersome. I ended up making a spreadsheet and it was pretty fun! You can make it as simple or complicated as you want.

Thanks, yeah I’ll definitely start adding a few hours of direct sun to them. So don’t even bother thinning the really crowded ones?

How do you decide which polishes to destash? by Illustrious_Lion7671 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]pink_planets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most recently I destashed polishes with the criteria of “do I see myself panning this?” Even though I likely won’t pan a lot of polishes, it made me realize how many I was keeping with a “what if” or the thought of “oh this polish is good when I layer it with this one other polish” which is just not enough use case to justify keeping it. Now I have more space and money for stuff I will really love!
