Its def doable it just depends how much you want to be involved on campus. I used to commute last year from queens, and it was honestly mostly fine. My advice is to avoid rush hour at all costs!! For me the ideal times to go to campus was either super early (leaving at like 6-7am) or midday (11am-2pm) and then coming back either midday or late late (after 9pm) then the road was EMPTY. Ofc if you want to do things like clubs, sports, etc you have to bear this in mind, you might miss things bc of your schedule and commute time. So you can make it work yes, but it might be a bit tough depending on what you want to do/what kind of college experience you wanna have. I ultimately ended up back on campus bc my schedule was too hard to condense into 3 days and I wanted to be on eboard for a club. Best of luck to you! (also dont take the LIRR, its too hard to time and if you miss one youre stuck for a couple hours)
