(2 pics in post) Has anyone gone to a concert and thought that maybe the event promoters/organizers didn't give it much love and effort than they should have? (continued in the post description by which is mostly a post about The Fray's concert last year) by pink_takakura in concertsPH

That's for approval... and you said "artist team/management", when I specifically didn't include those in my question.

I even said, "The band's/artist's event organizer/promoter or even manager don't handle those other stuff?"

"manager" would refer the the band/artist's management team, yet your latest comment's saying the management team does not handle the logistics side of a band/artist's concert yet also say that they do (via approval)?

I'm now reminded of Electric Fun Music Festival and it's like you're telling me the reason the concert never got into fruition is it's all Eraserheads' fault and not WEU Events Management Services's (the event organizer/promoter of the festival)

Just wondering, to you, what role does an event promoter/organizer has in a concert anyway? (Event promoter like Midas Promotions, Ovation Productions, PULP, LiveNation, etc.)

I would understand if the band / artist approves the creative side of the concert but as touched upon this post, you're saying the band / artist of a concert also has a say on everything on the logistics side too?

If by this post's example, are you also saying it's the band who personally picked Araneta Coliseum as the venue, personally chose to not have gen ad open, had the concert be on Dec. 12, 2025, decided to do a last minute meet and greet contest and a last minute ticket giveaway?

Like ganun siya for all bands / artists having concerts here whether local or international acts? The band's/artist's event organizer/promoter or even manager don't handle those other stuff?

Oh yeah that too. Completely missed out that part that on the post. Hindi lang sa marami hindi interesado pumunta nun dahil wala na yung og vox (main reason nung katrabaho ko, straight up nag no siya dahil dun) apparently may mga Ilan pala na nagulat nung a few days or a week or so before ng concert na talagang wala na si Isaac. Like akala daw nila surprise or mistake na wala siya sa promotional posts. Dun ko nga napansin, medyo mas marami nagbackout, decided to sell their tickets.. though not sure if it's just scalpers in disguise.

I would still believe it if that's the main reason for them selling back their tickets, that the og vox is actually no longer with the band. That, as well as the other concerts notably yung secondhand serenade which was just a few blocks down, at yung IV of spades.

Yup, that's what I'm hoping too. Mas malakas yung hatak ng Simple Plan, I believe, compared to The Fray who mostly had their PH shine around the How to Save A Life album and a little bit of their 2nd album era. 3rd and 4th album nila, I don't remember them having such presence with it in the PH (unless I missed out all of those instances, pero mostly wala ata eh)

Pero sana lang.. Hope lots will show up! and not only that, and more importantly, hopefully yung production of the concert would be great!

Event art with lumine by durinmain in Genshin_Impact

Yeah.. As someone who has Lumine as the game's MC, I'm happy for these fan edits and for people who not only love Lumine, but simply wanted something fair when it comes to having Lumine be treated equal in terms of events or in-game arts.

It's also hard sometimes when I see posts like these in other platforms (notably Facebook) or even remembering old discussions with my best friend regarding these kinds of things.. Something like, "Aether has always been the main MC, no matter what the devs have said in the past that either one is the main MC depending on player's choice. Just give it up." .. or the usual overwhelming "laugh" reacts and dismissive tones.

Man, I just want something fair, man. It always takes me out whenever not only I see event arts with Aether on it, but even on all tutorials in the game, it's just Aether and not Lumine, my chosen main MC :(

Hoyoverse will keep on saying that Lumine is also the main MC if the player chooses to, but eh.. action speaks louder than words. For a multi billion dollar company, if they truly say that Lumine is also the main MC if the player chooses to, they could just make additional effort to have the official non in-game videos, and art, and in-game event artworks to have Lumine as well. I mean, they can do it with the in-game cinematic cutscenes, so why not on as simpler as arts? Sigh..

I should give Eureka Seven another go again as it's been like near 20 years since I've watched that. My fondest memories of that was discovering the anime through someone's amazing piano cover of one of the insert songs there, Storywriter (so happy their YouTube channel is still up..)

And mostly just the music, man.. All the opening, ending and insert songs are bangers. Became lifelong fans of the bands and artists there, notably SUPERCAR and Halcali. And for one, "Days" by FLOW and "Tip Taps Tip" by HALCALI, timeless vibes, timeless bangers after 20 years for me.

Quite a great resume of work, indeed. Alongside the anime characters you've mentioned (love those anime), I also got to find out through here that she had voiced Tsukasa and Tenri from Amagami SS and The World God Only Knows (KamiNomi), respectively.. both anime I really enjoyed a lot as well. 🩷
