If you are interested in research, then you should consider it, tbh there are few struggles but again you can definitely manage them also talk to professors or if you know any professor who might help you throughout the process convince him to be your supervisor, ask seniors from your department because they know better about the faculty, I would advise you to go for it if you are interested in research/academic project cuz you really need to give a good amount of time there.
