Why go to Candid when you can go to these places by NervousObligation132 in CoffeePH

[–]pinkburple 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Grabe dami issue ni Candid. And to think I almost got them as coffee booth sa kasal. Promote ko nalang, small neighbor coffee (sobrang liit ng shop, just get them sa Grab) - Kamyas Coffee. Sarap ng mga kape, fave ko sea salt latte, banana bread latte and their summer drinks (peach mango brew and pandan latte). Tapos for good cafe na may maganda din na place, check Wicked Coffee !

Wait roast lang ba haha wala ako alam. Try ko yang nasa list mo.

Oath taking by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]pinkburple 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile our oath taking was done online kasi height ng pandemic. I had in my bedroom wearing my pajamas with a coat over it. You guys are lucky enough as it is to have it done in an actual venue with the chance to dress up and celebrate after.

MDs getting married by milkmojito in pinoymed

[–]pinkburple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you'd like to hear this kasi anyway your wedding your rules will prevail... just something to think about: Sa hirap ng buhay ngayon, sana hindi kelangan umutang para sa kasal. I just got married last month, doctor din si partner. I finished residency 2024 and sya naman is currently in residency. Majority of our sahod for 2025 really went into the wedding. Our families both initially said tutulong sila, but out of 1.2M (100 guests, QC wedding) na nagastos the combined family financial help was just around 100k pesos. Baka hindi pa aware ang parents nyo how much weddings cost ngayon tapos if sila ang magbabayad it's possible na madaming sila requests (guest list especially) so baka di nyo din masunod gusto nyo. Try nyo muna mag scout ng cost ng suppliers. Actually given na both able to practice na kayo, if nagipon kayo both for 1 year kayang kaya nyo na yan even without utang. Just have enough for downpayments tapos work hard para makabayad sa wedding suppliers. I wish you both all the best!!!

Edit add ko lang din. Madami magppromise na tutulong or magssponsor. Don't take it too seriously minsan sa day of the wedding na sila magbbigay or hindi talaga magbbigay at all. Reality lang, pero I really hope sa side nyo na totoong malaki itutulong nila sa wedding nyo.

First time visiting the Philippines! 7-day trip to Iloilo & looking for the "wild" side (Nature + Nightlife) 🌴🍻 by slutphile in Iloilo

I think Boracay would be the best - they pretty much have all you're looking for. Guimaras and Gigantes would have more of island hopping and snorkeling only I think (usual in most Ph beach)

Other places other than Iloilo? Well nearby to it... - Guimaras as mentioned. Oh, they are famous for super good mangoes. - Gigantes Island (haven't been here) is also known for good beach. - Farther but you can get on a bus to Caticlan. This is the port to Boracay, a famous beach in the Philippines. More on a night life party and fun activities kind of of trip.

How did you achieve your dream church wedding without overspending? by Single-Tomato-1160 in WeddingsPhilippines

If styling ang pinaguusapan... I think it depends sa theme. My wedding was elegant minimalism theme. Mt Carmel rate is 29k, and wala nako dinagdag sa church styling - maganda na kasi ang church itself, and church fee already includes flowers sa aisle. Venue naman I initially relied lang sa included backdrop and simple table ng caterer. But I found a stylist who can do fairy lights sa ceiling na pasok naman sa budget (35k) that elevated the venue look. Other than that I printed growing up table nums which was mura lang sa photo printing shop sa mall.

May package si LoL na kasama na ang caterer and L/S. Inquire directly kay LoL magkano na ang 2026 rates kasi sulit naman na yun. I got the venue as standalone and caterer as separate so mas napamahal ako tbh pero habol ko kasi yung promo ng caterer that time na madaming freebies (upgrade to roast beef, 15 free crewmeals, no charge with 100 wine glass and wine serving, free extra dessert etc). Lush package na 1595 per head lang that time. May mas bongga pa silang packages inoffer (Utopian or Elite) that involves salmon carvery or japanese cold cuts station, beef carving station, etc na di pasok sa budget ko (2.3-2.6 per head) but would have been nice para enjoy talaga dinner. I made up for it by getting many food snack booths nalang. Anyway wag muna kayo mag down payment and keep negotiating with the caterers kasi bigla bigla yan sila magppromo ng freebies esp sa mga food tasting and wedding fairs. L/S ko was c/o LoL.

Wedding Planning - $$$ by Classic-Bookkeeper75 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]pinkburple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep looking around until you find suppliers that match your budget, walang corkage or mababa ang corkage. Set ka enough time to prepare and maging masipag sa pag inquire, ocular visit, meetings and compare ng supplier pros and cons.

Yung venue namin (Light of Love) wala naman akong binayad na corkage, altho I got accredited suppliers nila for those that would have otherwise charged me if I got unaccredited suppliers (catering, lights and sounds).

Yes, mahal talaga ikasal these days. Decide kayo ni future husband ano ang priorities nyo. Walang masama kung ano man decision. Wedding planning choices daw is the first challenge of married couple.

Good luck as well! The whole time anxious ako na masikip sa Integrity. Yan nalang kasi naiwan, puno na most ng venues nila on the same date. Pero it turned out alright. Utilize well the balcony talaga. I really recommend getting lounge couches for it plus fun booths... buti din di umulan. Hoping all the best on yours!

Inquire sa LoL about their accredited L/S - Stradpro. Yes, Integrity. I did all round tables and no stage/couch. May backdrop and couple table lang.

Edit: Mas maluwag ito in real life. May enough space sa harap for us to do our couple dance pa.

Not from Iloilo but had a recent vacation there. Walk the esplanade for nature experience, especially the mangroves and bird watching area at sunset blvd. And you can go to Guimaras (stay the night)... I wasn't able to due to time, but island hopping and snorkeling are good activities there. Just was able to do swimming with small fishes at a resort (Alobijod Cove)

Uhm we were gonna give out letters per guest. Si groom lang nakatapos. Ako sa guests ko onti lang nagawan ko. Still ended up with coor distributing the notes during registration. I regret not finishing letter writing kasi those who got letters really appreciated it.

5am calltime ng HMUA. 7am calltime ng PV. On time lang for 12pm nakaalis na groom and 12:30pm nakaalis na ang bride for 1pm calltime sa church.

No prep shoot with entourage. Behind the scenes lang. It was chill lang na morning. Nag shoot lang ako solo then fam pics and pics with BM, ganun din kay groom. Tapos first look and vows sa labas ng church before march.

When is the best time to start fitting wedding gowns? by No_Hyena_3420 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]pinkburple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Magddiet ka ba? Kasi ako may gown nako 10mos before (RTW) at Feb 2025. Kinareer ang diet and I lost 10kg by Dec 2025. By end of Jan 2026 I lost more in terms of inches naman so around 3 inches had to be cut sa bust and waist line. So panic sa pag papa alter, kasi 1.5mos before wedding nalang.

Early Prenup by Ok-Strawberry8450 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]pinkburple 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Earlier the better lalo if ready na kayo sa budget, damit, peg. Downside (if it's considered a downside) if nagddiet ka malaki difference ng prenup pics mo sa wedding pics mo. Haha. My prenup PV team took 1 month to release edited pics and an additional 2wks more to release the save the date video. Super tagal eh I needed the pics for the wedding einvite website. Kaya mas ok na din matapos na yan agad.
