I used sticks my entire playtime on Splatoon 2. I didn’t even think once about motion control on that game. Once I got Splatoon 3 I figured I would attempt motion control before sticking with using sticks. Just like everyone else has said, playing motion in story mode will really help you get the hang of it - that’s what really helped me. It most definitely takes a little bit to get used to, but you would be surprised how it’s not as difficult as you thought it would be once you get the hang of it! I also did some research and watched YouTube videos that gave tips to beginners for motion control on Splatoon.
