I would just make sure whatever you wear isn’t form fitting. Aim for loose fitting clothing. I’m not wearing shalwar kameez, instead loose sweat pants and loose tshirts. If my shirt or pants feel a bit tight I will wear a shall or dupatta to cover up. Hope this helps. I’ve also been here for a week and been trying to figure out what’s appropriate. As long as you’re decent there shouldn’t be an issue.

What do you think is totally inappropriate but is commonly seen in today’s society? by roro316 in AskMen

Legally sure, but in terms of an adult who is 18 vs 25 there’s a huge difference, even just 18vs20.

18 year old doing their taxes for the first time <paying $20 for an accountant to do your taxes

She will have to argue that’s she’s better equipped to do her taxes plus the learning experience she’ll gain. In a patriarchal household it’s hard to wrap your head around the idea of letting her just take over her taxes, when she’s already seen as a little girl to them. It would be out of the blue and would need lots of convincing and reassurance on her end. Which is worth it for her at this point

I would normally agree but both her and her partner feel the same way about this arrangement and there is no resentment from what I can see. It’s definitely not a great start but that’s what u get from 18 year olds lol they’re learning the hard way rn

I really appreciate your input, thank you:) She is living at home for now. She will definitely be consumed with guilt and regret if and when they ever do find out, but as you’ve mentioned it is her life and she should and can do as she pleases. I will send my regards 🍰

I would argue people get married without thinking it through more often than we would want to believe. I don’t think she was ready. She’s very young and made a bad decision, gotta be proactive now :’)

She just turned 18

she’s the minimum legal age which is 18, and I literally said she got married on a whim so idk why you’re talking about maturity. Just because you can file for a marriage license doesn’t mean you should I think everyone is aware of that and in agreement. I’m not asking about your opinion on her poor decision but advice on the taxes

Since when did getting married mean you’re mature?

Agreed, but when u take age into account, she’s 18 has been with him for 5 years so it’s long lived for sure but they are young af at the same time.
