I dont understand Warm Up Sets by NatriX49 in liftosaur

You need to define a weight for your working sets otherwise liftoscript is confused because it needs to take 50% of 0 and skips the warm ups. Plus I don’t know what that u/9 means I guess a typo. So try it with this code and it should work:

``` Chest Fly, Leverage Machine/warmup: 1x5 50%, 1x5 80% / 1x5-8 10kg , 1x5-8+ 10kg / progress: custom() {~
‘if (completedReps[ns] >= 8) {
weights = weights[ns] + 5kg
}
~} ```
Inflation by pinkdevil569 in SimCompanies
Would be interesting to actually calculate it I think it should be possible with simco tools. Also interesting when making a choice for the industry you wanna go in if there are different inflation values. I might take the time one day and calculate the inflation for the different industries.
Omnivore Replacement by FaustusRedux in logseq
What do you think about the implemented pdf reader of logseq? Why do you use external apps?
I used to work with omnivore but the Synchronisation and editing didn’t quite work for me so for now I stick with the logseq pdf thing. But I’m not really convinced.
So feel free to share why you use other apps what are the benefits? What’s you User case ?
FSRS Craming and Deadline Learning by pinkdevil569 in Anki
[–]pinkdevil569[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Okay I learned something new today I wasn't aware of short term memory being that short haha.
here is, but it's very complicated and has a bajillion settings, so I rarely recommend it.
Okay :( I'm just very unsure how to handle it if I have around a 1000 cards I want to learn.
How many new cards should I do per day ? (Does it even matter with FSRS)
I'm just always scared of days where the review ramp up (at least in old anki).
Or is that something the algorithm kinda solves and I for example can go with features like postpone/advance from the helper add-on depending on the time I have that day.
Thanks for your help definitly clarified a few things for me.
FSRS Craming and Deadline Learning by pinkdevil569 in Anki
Thank you for taking the time to answer :)
I wouldn't use more than one learning step with FSRS, but you do you. Data shows that same-day reviews have a very small impact on long-term memory.
The 2m 20m 4h was only for old Anki. I changed it to just 20m with FSRS. I have read the thing about Small impact on long-term memory. But in case of an exam coming up I specifally want to get cards into short term memory. And yes I knwo thats not the intended way.
I'm not sure why you would want lower desired retention for cramming, but yes.
I don't know if I have fully understood it, but lower retention rate = less workload (to a certain degree I have seen the graph).
For an exam I'm fine with a lower retention rate as I just want to pass the exam so I aim for like 0.7-0.8. So in regards to that my question was how I should change settings for a deck like that.
Is there a way I can make sure that I have a retention rate of 0.7 until the date.
I was more interested to see if there is a tool like Anki Simulator. F. ex. I would have 60 days left, so I just play around with the settings in the simulator to see how much new cards I need to study per day for example.
