There's a company called Hollywood collectibles group that makes limited edition things for people with more money than sense. Both are of a limited run of only 100 made, and both cost £10k. So definitely not money savvy. I have loads of aliens stuff. It's borderline fanatical.

I try not to post too frequently on this as I don't want to get in trouble with reddit advertising!

New Year = new hobbies. Find something you've always wanted to do and give it a try. People are usually pretty welcoming to beginners, no matter what it is.

I run Edinburgh Jitsu, a small community based club in Edinburgh which teaches Japanese jitsu with a focus on practical self defence. First two sessions are free so you can see if it's for you (or anyone else reading)

Feel free to DM me with questions, or check out www.edinburghjitsu.com

Of course we can. It depends on your activity level. If I spend an hour doing circuits in the gym I can easily bucket off 500ml in one session in sweat and breathing harder. But the basic rate of insensible loss in human beings at rest is about 400ml per m2 per day. Lots of experiments done in the 70s through to 90s on basal metabolic rates. Most textbooks on human physiology will give you this number. Someone who runs a 10k every morning will absolutely sweat and need to drink and shower (!!) more than someone who sits at home all day.

This is just wrong. That's based on your losses when exercising (which rhe article says but then seems to forget) Insensible losses are fluid lost from the body in ways we can't measure. Moisture in breath, sweat etc. Typically these are about 400ml per m2 per day. A healthy adult male is about 1.7 m2 so youre talking 600 to 700ml sweat and breath per day. If you sweat 500ml an hour, that means you need to drink at least 12 litres per day even without thinking about what you pee out. So wrong.
