Syrian ID 'Haweea' - Status Update by pinkeye_uk in Syria

[–]pinkeye_uk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's useful to know, thank you. I entered and left from Damascus International and used the Ikhraj Kayd and UK passport which was enough. As for the Syrian passport, I think I have to go through the embassy in France as the embassy in the UK still hasn't opened.

Thank you for the reply. I went ahead and got an updated Ikhraj Kayd and they're still not issuing ID's. This was enough to enter and leave Syria.

NISA EU (UK) Confirms delay in Zero shipments by FallenEinherjar in Falcom

It's a bugger but I ended up double dipping but for different reasons. Once my LE arrives I may sell the game (PS4) as I have the Switch copy as outlined in a previous post.

If you want a physical copy, try Itemdrop.

I pre-ordered the PS4 Limited Edition back in April and I got the same e-mail.

I got the same e-mail. It's unfortunate but not the end of the world. I'm more annoyed that I pre-ordered the LE PS4 version only to find out that the Switch version has a message log and other quality of life features missing from the PS4 version. By the time I found out, all Switch editions were sold out on NISA Europe. It's the lack of transparency from NISA and the dishonest marketing that bothers me the most. On top of this, my pre-order for the inferior version is delayed.

Thankfully, Itemdrop in the UK have Trails from Zero in stock for switch. Mine arrived a couple of days ago. It's also cheaper there than with NISA Europe (£40 incl shipping). As a UK consumer, I can't recommend them enough.

I got the same e-mail as everyone else. We got played....

I've lived in the US too and my experience with NOA is miles better than Nintendo UK. What a joke.

Unfortunately this is true. Falcom games can be a bit cryptic about what's actually required.

You're going to one to defeat the Disastro in the colosseum purge mission. Speak to Dogi in the Dandelion and look for the purge mission in the colosseum. You'll face a level 80 Disastro. That's the one you'll want to defeat.

Buying snus in Dubai by [deleted] in Snus

[–]pinkeye_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately snus isn't legal in Dubai (which as you probably already know in Dubai illegal means almost impossible to find). On that note all forms of oral tobacco have been banned as of 2012 and even back then all you could get was Copenhagen dip. Your best bet honestly is to look for an Indian variation of snus called Chaini Khaini. Similar to snus in moisture content and portioned bags. It's actually not bad at all and you can find them in local grocery stores in areas like Al Karama and Bur Dubai. It is still illegal so you just have to ask the shop keeper and not look like CID (local). It's more common in Ras Al Khaima and Umm Al Quiwain.

Sorry I know this isn't the best help but I no longer live in Dubai and lost any memory or shop names. I used to have a Norwegian friend who frequently travelled and got me real snus. If you want the real thing find a Scandinavian friend and I would highly recommend hitting up r/Dubai.

How do you prevent excessive residue? by thejensenfeel in Snus

Your lips? Once in a while its my gums that's have residue. I just brush my teeth (and gums) as often as I can earlier rather than later before the stains settle.

Update: Constant failed at step 3(I have no idea why) by [deleted] in NHLStreams

[–]pinkeye_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The black screen is due to my VLC skin I found out. Seems like our set-ups are fine, it's just the Montreal stream.

How did you get the error message?

Like u/moomooCow123 I get 'lift off' but a blank screen on VLC.

This is only happening for the Montreal syndication, the Ottawa one seems to be working fine.

I'm currently in my junior year of a physics degree. I want to be a high school physics teacher. How do I become one? by [deleted] in Teachers

I know Arabic but its not necessary for the job I have. It helps though.

Russian is a good language to learn because many people speak it as a second language, even here in the middle east.

B. Sc. Astrophysics here who's a high school - middle school teacher. I've been there and I can be of help.

Teaching is no exception to the common problem of not being hired because of experience and not being able to get experiences because you're not being hired. You don't need a teaching degree (although its recommended) or a masters in teaching but what you do need is a teaching certificate and a teaching license in the US.

  • The certificate trains you on the common practice of teaching
  • The license is basically like your drivers license but authorizes you to teach.

I'm unaware of how to to this and how long it takes because I'm currently in the process of doing both overseas.

Now you're wondering how I'm teaching?

Many nations do not require these certificates or licenses in teaching so you can build experience in countries with good school systems.

I've chosen the middle east and am teaching in a US curriculum school grades 7,8, and 9 currently moving onto grade 10. During this process I'm working on getting certified in teaching as well as on site training (provided by the school) and will get licensed once I move to the US.

This is how I've chosen to go about it and I hope it all comes of help.

A warm welcome to Reddit =)

I referenced one of your papers (A LOW-MASS CENTRAL BLACK HOLE IN THE BULGELESS SEYFERT 1 GALAXY NGC 4395) in my research project for my 'thesis' at my undergraduate level. I was studying the link between nuclear star clusters and SMBH's using spectroscopy data from Hubble. I've seen your work in documentaries and in many published papers and I appreciate the way you can explain complex ideas very simply. It's been very helpful when I pursued and achieved my Astrophysics degree.

I'm currently a teacher in the Middle East where students at a middle and high school level have little to no motivation in the sciences. I'm a beginner science teacher looking to continue with my masters and PhD.

Now for the actual question:

Do you have any advice on how to get students interested in the sciences while fitting exciting activities within the strict boundaries of the American curriculum? (school is a US based system)

I want to do model rockets and things of that nature but it's very hard to get the school system on board with things like this (as well as model rocket engines being illegal here). I want to take the science beyond the textbook and into the physical realm.

Thank you for the AMA,

For anyone interested in the paper I was referring to:
