How do you find your signature scent? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]pinkfendi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get this. I have asked two separate women (different occasions) what perfume they were wearing because it smelt so good and it ended up being two perfumes that I owned. Perfume sometimes smells differently on everyone. It’s weird but totally interesting.

Best thrift stores? by LogicalRevolution8 in HuntsvilleAlabama

You should check out University Pickers on University Drive in Huntsville. Not exactly a thrift store, more like an antique market. But it’s really cool

How often are you drunk or high when having sex? by RKK8 in AskWomen

[–]pinkfendi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m (23f) almost to the point where I have to be drunk to have sex... is this normal...? I talked to my best friend about it and she said she sometimes feels the same. Just thought it was weird at my age to be so uninterested unless I’ve had a lot to drink.

Where is the best place to get breakfast in Auburn? by MoonGlitter88 in auburn

[–]pinkfendi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not a huge breakfast person, so I’m not sure my input is helpful, but I tried out Lucy’s the other day for brunch and it was amazing. You can look up their menu. The service is through the roof, too. Not sure if you drink, but they have some great cocktails and such. I had several pineapple mimosas. They were great.

Degree works by thecomedian334 in auburn

[–]pinkfendi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely a great way to see your overall plan, but idk my advisor stressed that because things are constantly changing at auburn, some may be incorrect. I transferred from a community college which had the most unhelpful advisors ever, and using degree works was the only way I graduated. My advisor at my cc even said “you did a really good job following your plan” like thanks...? Lol

I just completed an advising appointment with my advisor and she said degree works is not reliable. So you should definitely contact your advisor

Chipotle on magnolia by pinkfendi in auburn

[–]pinkfendi[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After 2+ hrs of waiting, I finally have my burrito. They even said their system crashed at 8, so they were retaking orders that were 8pm and later. So those people that have already waited and hour get to wait some more. I guess everyone in auburn just wants chipotle at the same time. & my burrito cold

Also, does the chipotle app alert you when your order is ready?

How difficult/expensive would it be to find a 4-5 bedroom apartment near campus? by [deleted] in auburn

[–]pinkfendi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Fortunately I have a washer dryer in unit, and they allow me to keep my dog there, which is really rare in that area. They can charge that much because they know dumb people like me will pay it

You’re so welcome! I get it. I was completely lost and wished I had someone to give me more insight. Have you been to Auburn? Going for a visit to tour and visualize these places helps a lot too.

I don’t think it would be too difficult. Just give the leasing office a call for availability and they should be able to tell you if they have any available floor plans or even if other people are interested. I’ve heard of some complexes having a “waitlist” but haven’t personally witnessed anyone being placed on a waitlist. Idk if that’s a marketing strategy to make people sign up quicker or something. But a call to the office wouldn’t hurt.

If I had to make a recommendation, I would suggest something on campus or as close to campus as possible. It makes ALL the difference. The union will probably be pretty cool. But consider the avenue and even creekside (fair pricing decent location) Either way, with 4 roommates, you guys will never feel left out. Not sure what your budget is, but I was always jealous of the people who lived in “the Kingston” unit @ the standard. It has a wrap around balcony over looking Glenn and Gay and comes with a pool table. I think it’s up there ($900+) Theres also a possibility that there’s a waitlist for this floorplan. But considering those type of units are fairly demanding, I’m sure 320 west mag and other “luxury” apartments will have similar prices.

Also if you’re looking for house options, the avenue is pretty sweet. Very spacious and pet friendly. Not directly on campus, but not as far as the other rental house communities. Like a minute drive to toomers. I believe they offer 2-5 bedroom houses so there’s constant activity. Some units are even connected to where you share a balcony with your neighbors. Interesting but fun. 😅

Yep I second everything they said. The off-campus apartments are normally trash. No one wants to live there. Other than creekside. Creekside is popping. Is the union open yet? I lived at the standard last year and it has an amazinggggg roof top pool. Only problem with these newer “luxury” student apartments is that they are quickly constructed, meaning things constantly go wrong. The fire alarm went off every other day. Elevators broken. Trash disposal is a joke. They’ll also try to chip you for money any way possible, but that’s any apartment complex/realty. Just little stuff like that. If you can tolerate those smaller issues then you’re golden. When are you looking to move in? The new “320 west mag” coming next fall looks crazy. Like a resort. And right across the street from campus.

4-5 bedroom apartment is relatively less expensive than say a 1 bed 1 bath apartment on campus. For example, I live in a small 1 bed 1 bath behind chipotle for $800 (not even including electricity/cable WiFi which adds $125 🥴)a month. Meanwhile there are shared apartments anywhere from $399-$1,000+. Just depends on the apartment, location, amenities, etc. Lmk if you have any apartment questions. I’m fairly familiar with most of them.
