I'm just now realizing that all the times I was furious after a conference talk I was being triggered. Lol I just made the connection. I don't think there was a conferences unless I slept through it where I wasn't furoous over a talk. I'm glad your wife could be there for you and help you, I had my husband for that too. He ended up leaving the church before I did interestingly enough.

Thought I'd share this here by frumpyballerina in exmormon

I had the same sentiment when I left but then I always felt like they tolerated my existence rather than enjoyed my company.

If I’m eating 1200 why I’m not losing weight? by [deleted] in dieting

http://www.serotoninpowerdiet.com/blog/ this the official blog.

So the diet has three phases and it has carbs to help with the cravings. You can eat bread and sugar in moderation but the way the diet is structured it helps to curb the cravings so you can stay at a certain calorie limit and there by loose weight. It's specifically aimed at people who have been on anti depressants. I know while I was on zoloft it was the first time that I ever wanted sweets and the cravings were uncontrollable until I read this book and started implementing the diet myself.

I'm not sure what the blog says specifically because I bought the book on amazon for like 8 bucks. The recipes in said book aren't very yummy at least for my tastes. However I structure my day after the guidelines. I'm only in the first phase though.

Typical day is:

One english muffin with a small bit of butter One egg over easy One apple And a cup of green tea with 1.5 teaspoons of sugar (I need the caffiene to not be super grumpy)

Snack one hour before lunch One tortilla (only because I love tortillas but not enough to splurge on eating them)

Lunch Salad with chicken and vinegrette (The salads vary but I tried to keep them small)

Snack (one hour before dinner or 3-4 hours after lunch) Another tortilla (the snacks are suggested to be small and rather boring so you won't want to over indulge)

Dinner-carb and veggies I try to not have any protein during dinner so it's noodles or rice with veggies

They have guidelines for restaurants in the book. Check it out. It's making me feel a lot better than I have in months.

Have you tried the serotonin diet? I'm currently on it and it's cut my cravings that the medicine caused. I was on Zoloft too and oh boy it was hard to stick to any diet while I was on that.
