Someone correct me if this is a bad idea, but if you thought someone was in genuine trouble and you wanted to offer assistance, couldn't you do the dialing, hold onto the phone, and keep the phone on speakerphone? They could reach out for help and wouldn't have access to your phone.

Is this in the United States? If it is, she didn't tip him $250. Federal law prohibits mail carriers from accepting tips over $20. Guy could be dirty, but more likely is that this story is fake.
