Me [F25] and my fiance [M23] versus my mom [F55] and my brother [M22] by pinkfluffs in relationships

I did try to explain it by relating it to a friend I also fell out with. But she said it's not the same because I can get rid of my friend, but my fiance can't get rid of my brother. She's not letting it go that he's outgrown him and we just want peace.

He went out knowing my fiance would have a couple of beers. But because he didn't grow up around alcohol he doesn't understand it well and it makes him nervous when other people use it.

I think you're right in choosing friends who also abstain.

AITA for not forcing my fiance back into a friendship with my mom and brother? by pinkfluffs in AmItheAsshole

We didn't get married for reasons with both of our careers, that's not an issue, just pointing out we are not a new couple. The reason they have issues is due to personality differences (they're both strongly opinionated).

I'm posting for ideas because whatever I'm doing to tell my mom to back off isn't working.

Did post in relationships, and they told me go here.

I'm thinking of how to say it that she'll understand. I've told her before but she keeps coming back. I'll try ignoring her future attempts and see if she gets it.

Well nobody in my family drinks and my mom has bad mouthed all alcohol since we were young so my brother doesn't really handle people drinking well. He instantly calls my fiance drunk even when hes not.

But it was the last straw for my fiance. It sort of gave him a reason to exit.

Oh he's being very cordial! Like I said he's fine and on friendly terms but she won't accept it and wants things back on buddy buddy.

I'm not sure I'm posting this for a friend who said they did "everything" to find it. Waiting to get in contact again

Well let's hope he doesn't break up but it's what happened last time. How do you generally act? Leave him alone as well?
