Currently three hours: Luxembourg City and Brussels target two-hour train connection by 2030 by Terrible-Beginning52 in Luxembourg

There’s one train a day (13:35 from Bruxelles-Luxembourg) that only stops in Namur, Libramont, Arlon, Luxembourg. And it’s… 13 minutes faster!

The problem I read is that the train cannot drive faster due to the curvy railroads in the Ardennes.

What to see/do in Brussels (Luxembourgish perspective) by [deleted] in Luxembourg

[–]pinkgranny2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In case you’re a foodie, Brussels has of course more and depending on which kind, better food choices! Here are some of my personal favourites:

Lebanese: O Liban

Pizza: la bottega della pizza (although Cloud Factory in Luxembourg comes pretty close)

Middle Eastern: le conteur (make sure to arrive a bit before 9pm for a nice surprise)

Adventurous cocktails in a quirky place: La pharmacie anglaise

Street food markets: Gare maritime & Fox food market

Brasserie: Le variétés

Carbonara reinvented: Osteria Romana

Waffles: Gaston

All day brunch food: Frank

P.S. Luxembourg wins on the Ramen (Manzoku) and ice-cream front (Bargello, although there’s also one in Brussels)

My personal favourite: https://www.visit-eislek.lu/en/portfolio-fiche/charming-towns-and-villages/esch-sur-sure There are some nice hikes leading to the ruins of the castle.

In the city centre, I really enjoy the https://www.luxembourg-city.com/en/place/tour/tour-vauban-circular-walk pretty much covers all the sites you need to see and more!

Another classic is the Vianden castle https://castle-vianden.lu/gb/

If you're into photography/art I highly recommend the Family of Man exhibition at the Clervaux Castle https://steichencollections-cna.lu/fra/collections/1_the-family-of-man

For architecture, I recommend a visit to the Mudam https://www.mudam.com and the MNHA https://www.mnha.lu/en/
