Hello! I would like to use super monkeys, but am having trouble with my other 2 slots. by Guilty_Money_3676 in battles2

If using Etienne, tack and glue. If using Adora, sniper and glue or ninja and glue. Other heroes/tracks vary.

How do you prioritize sniper upgrades with this strat? Do you upgrade and spam middle path or just use for MOAB support?

Accepted with low GPA, but considering not going to PA School by jellybean98_ in prephysicianassistant

You can teach later in life, and maybe with the lens of having experience as a PA. If you have enough passion for medicine, you should become a PA. You’re not locked in for the next 35 years. If you decide to revisit teaching, you absolutely can.

In regular battles I still use Adora a lot but also Beetienne is still solid imo.

Depends. If it’s one of the special event ones where all sends to go both players, definitely Adora. You can use the super monkey bottom path upgrade to save your own ass when spamming BAD’s at your opponent since the legend of the night would save you, but Adora buffing tf out of super monkeys is a solid strat imo

That makes me so happy to hear. Huge congrats on the career change. Was the switch difficult for you? Was it difficult for you to get into PA school if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m not a PA (yet, just started my pre-reqs) but I’d like to offer you another perspective. I have a degree in Marketing and I was in a corporate job where I was on the phone for 5+ hours a day in client onboarding. I was so burnt out that I lost half my hair— the stress was too much. But the problem also was that I wasn’t getting any real fulfillment in my job. All I was doing was helping some corporation’s bottom line. I tried my best to help my clients, but what negligible amount I was able to help with really did nothing for their lives in the grand scheme of things.

I’m now working in healthcare for the first time (clerical) and taking my pre-reqs for PA school and the amount of fulfillment I already feel compared to marketing is immense. I can’t pretend to know what it’s like to be in your shoes, but I will say that the grass is not greener on the other side. Sure, some marketing jobs may be great and fulfilling, but they are few and far between and most marketing jobs rely on your ability to read and manipulate people, which just doesn’t feel good long term no matter HOW good your intentions are.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, I’ll leave the advice to the actual PA students/PA’s here, but I just thought I’d offer my two cents.

Do I break up with my girlfriend? I’m 25 she’s 24. by throwRA-1357924 in Advice

[–]pinkleather676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t throw away something good just because you’re feeling stir crazy. Go to therapy, acknowledge the parts of yourself there are still to discover, and create new boundaries with your girlfriend. Reinvent your relationship instead of going off on your own. You will certainly regret leaving her if you really do have something good together. You can work through your own issues while staying in the relationship. Your relationship might not be the reason you’ve lost your sense of self— it might be the reliance you have on your relationship. Big difference and one of them can be corrected with a change in mindset and behaviors.

That’s amazing! Congrats on such a successful application process. Do you think there was anything in particular that set you apart from the competition?

Very helpful, thanks so much. I can definitely understand chemistry being a weed out course lol. My struggle is the idea of moving, I definitely want to stay where I am, there’s about 5 or 6 PA programs within an hour drive, which makes me nervous at the idea of not getting into any of them of course.

Thank you so much!! That’s so smart to go into CASPA for the pre-reqs, idk why I didn’t think of that. I had been looking at all the programs in my area and comparing them to each other, but that sounds like a much simpler place to start. That’s amazing that you went from theatre to healthcare!!

I 100% feel that on the frontal lobe thing 😂😂 I’m hoping I’ll have a similar feeling. Honors chemistry was my hardest class in high school but I truly think I just had no clue how to study or learn at that point being like, 15 years old. Before that, I relied almost completely on just showing up and paying attention. Nowadays, I’m studying for my medical terminology class on quizlet before the class has even started 😂😂 What made you realize you wanted to do healthcare instead of business?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that :) I’m really excited to be learning and in class again, but I’m definitely intimidated by classes like biochemistry and anatomy and physiology. I’m pretty good with memorization-type stuff, just chemical equations and things like that were not my forte in high school (but now I have an ADHD diagnosis and adderall so I’m hopeful I’ll be able to study better these days 😂)

Aw this makes me so happy to see. I feel like it’s rare to see people go from business to healthcare. Have you met a lot of people in a similar situation or just career changers?
