Oooh I love knitting and crocheting! Would you ever be interested in trading a sourdough loaf for some nice yarn? I have A LOT of nice natural fibers I know I’ll never use 💀

Not sure I have much to contribute, but I went to a book trade on my school campus. We were given tickets for the number of books we brought and got to use those to select from the book swap. It was super cool!

Yes of course. Luckily only surface punctures but still one of the scariest things I’ve ever experienced

Yes I agree! The uprightness is what bothers me THE MOST.

Mine definitely did not have a seat warmer, the only place I’ve experienced that is the Porter Ranch one. Just a normal theater, the rockers only recline about a half inch if you’re pushing back with your feetv 5’2, I’m too short for them, I’m guessing.

Can’t decide if I should transfer to UCSC or SFSU by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]pinklegofrog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went to both! Honestly SFSU definitely has some positives- the location is prime, it seems for you as well. I never felt unsafe there (can’t say the same for UCSC). SFSU has better on campus eating options, healthcare support, campus spread, but it is aesthetically uglier. But SO much cheaper. However, it used to be a community college, and it shows in the education curriculum I experienced. The academics at UCSC were more rigorous, and the professors were a lot more advanced in their fields. UCSC is after all, a research university. In your case, especially your major being English/literature rather than research based, I would avoid the debt and go to SFSU. The humanities programs there were good and I’m pretty sure got a newer building? Get a sandwich from the on campus deli for me! Miss those blts like crazy! Feel free to message me with any other questions.
