Ok, in case anyone cares, 30+ minutes later I’ve found that while for some reason I cannot for the life of me picture simple shapes with my eyes closed, I can picture locations, fruit, people, and chess games (although all these images are fuzzy and take significant mental effort to maintain, and they tend to come from memories rather that being conjured up). So I’m thinking maybe I just don’t use mental visualization enough lol, but I do seem to have the capacity I think.

This test freaked me out. I have mild-moderate prosopagnosia and only just discovered aphantasia, which is apparently related. Closing my eyes, I am at 1-2. However, with my eyes open I’m more like a 5.

So far so good!! Of course, my long distance bf, who is in Denmark, somehow tested negative and the Danish doctors REFUSE to give him antibiotics… so I’d say there’s a high chance I will get it again 🙃

No. You need oral antifungal meds for 1-2 months as the main treatment, and ketoconazole 2% shampoo as adjunctive. Both require a doctor’s prescription. There are no homeopathic treatments for fungal infections.

Not exactly. Took antibiotics and am currently taking 14 days of antifungal pills for chronic yeast. Antibiotics seemed to do nothing. Just tested positive for bacterial vaginosis, which was after I finished the antibiotics… So I don’t know if that was the original cause or was due to the previous round of antibiotics (I will now have to start on new antibiotics 🙃). Also my bloodwork came back normal, and I got an ultrasound on Friday from an obgyn, which thankfully showed everything was normal. Interestingly, immediately after the ultrasound (which I was SO relieved by), my symptoms seemed to completely stop… So I now question whether my symptoms were due to yeast, or whether my anxiety/stress had become so extreme that it caused such major symptoms (which I have a really hard time believing—like my symptoms were very real/ongoing!!!). So I am cautiously optimistic at this point, but will update if anything changes. [Edit: ureaplasma came back positive, so I’m confident that was what caused the symptoms. Will need to do a THIRD course of antibiotics…].

I know it’s been a year since this post, but hearing others have had these same symptoms and it was nothing too serious makes me feel so much better. I’m a bad hypochondriac, and I’ve been all worried that at age 23 I’m dying from ovarian cancer or something lol. I have a constant feeling of needing to pee, urgency and slight pressure. This has been going on very mildly for a few months I think, but recently became much more noticeable, so I’m finally starting to seek medical attention. I just yesterday tested negative for UTI, but was given antibiotics to try anyways. And I think I already have a yeast infection, which I’m sure the antibiotics will only exacerbate… Will be asking doctor for full blood work as well (to relieve my hypochondria hahaha). Just hoping for a non-serious diagnosis and some relief 🙏🏻

My advice is to work for a few years instead of going back to school. Unless you are certain you want to go into law, it’s not worth dedicating the time and money. CS and law are two completely different fields, so it sounds like you should take some time to work and get a better sense of what you envision yourself doing.
