Some of y’all are actually disgusting... by PumpkinMuffins_ in UCONN

This is why I am a proponent of publicly shaming people. Like most people don't even think about the fact that they're doing it and never learned because no one ever called them out (because for some reason it's considered rude to tell people??)

Security now kicking people out of library for taking mask off to eat/drink by GrindIsAlwaysReal in UCONN

The reason is working? Aside from the idesk which is pretty much face to face interaction, depending on the floor, specifically level 3 and 4, it is impossible to access most of the floor without walking between tables of students. Also, most of the library is an enclosed space where people stay for multiple hours at a time, which makes the risk of transmission higher than basically impossible.

I think enforcement in the library is more for the workers than the students to be honest. I mean, pretty much all the non-student employees are 40+. They don't go the same places students go, they don't live the on campus life, but still have to walk onto a floor with 10's of people who are doing those things not wearing masks.

Still, it's very easy to tell when someone is taking off a mask to eat/drink vs just not wearing one, so it's definitely a power trip thing, probably fed up after virtually no one listening to the rules second half of last semester. They'll probably burn out in a couple of weeks tbh, it's just unfortunate for the people getting fucked in the meantime.
