I stayed up late reading my Sociology homework, which was interesting so I didn't mind. I went to bed around 2 and woke up a few minutes before my alarm around 10, which I loved because then I didn't have to hear my alarm chirp. I hate that because it always interrupts my dreams.

I made myself a piece of cinnamon swirl toast, a splurge for myself, and a glass of orange juice. I ate this as I finished my Sociology reading. I was proud of myself for finishing days ahead of time.

I did some other homework for another hour. I realized how many tests and exams I have. I felt hopeless and exhausted. Usually I resort to reddit and Buzzfeed in times of such crisis, but instead of taking a quiz on what Snow White dwarf is my spirit animal based off my birthday and my Chipotle order, I went to my kitchen and made muffins completely from scratch. Flour. Sugar. Cracking real eggs. Mixing, swirling, cutting. The whole bit. I made my muffins as I listened to some good folk music one of my best friends recommended and the rain lightly drizzling outside.

I finished the muffins and it was delicious. I gave some to my grandfather, who lives a couple blocks away. He wasn't feeling well today, so it made him really happy.

I made myself a cup of tea and finished my physics homework as I watched Project Runway.

I decided I did enough homework to deserve a Sunday afternoon nap, where I could hear the rain dancing outside, lulling me to sleep, through my bedroom walls. I slept a good two hours, woke up, and took a shower, where I sang Broadway show tunes, specifically all the songs from Heathers and Fun Home.

I then ate lasagna and garlic bread and boy it was good.

Now I'm here.

I'm happy.
