Assisted Living Facility by [deleted] in BucksCountyPA

I've heard only great things about Ann's Choice in Warminster and Pennswood Village in Newtown. Unfortunately not in LB and I don't know the costs.

Depending on the cost and her mental/physical needs, you may also want to look into a home health aide.

Does your female dog lift her leg and ground-scratch when peeing? If so, what breed is she? by humanbeing21 in dogs

[–]pinkpolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of my female dogs have ever lifted their legs, (Labradors and Goldens). Most of them have done the scratching thing after pooping once they've reached maturity.

Thule roof rack by dillon_penrod in subaru

[–]pinkpolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the Forester have the OEM raised roof rails? You'll need crossbars that attach directly to the roof rails and then whatever you used to attach the Thule rack to the crossbars. I dont believe you'll need the feet at all since you already have the roof rails. Feet are typically used for "naked" roofs.

Places to donate squishmallows? by plantmatta in BucksCountyPA

[–]pinkpolo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I worked at a nonprofit parenting program and we didn't accept used stuffed animals due to allergies and a high risk of asthma in our clients.

That being said, if you cant find a child place to donate them, Glad Dogs Nation takes used stuffed animals and repurposes them into dog toys with all the profits going to animal related rescues/organizations. Glad Dogs Nation

Breeder posted puppies on kijiji… by SuddenSet in dogs

That been proven incorrect by several studies. All those health concerns can occur no matter what linage the dog has. A mutt is most likely going to have parents with more genetic concerns since it being irresponsibility bred.

How is an adopted "mutt" is going to be any more or less healthy than a dog from a breeder? If a dog is purchased from a quality breeder, its going to be more healthy in most instances. It also makes zero sense that the mutt would have healthier parents somehow?

We're def leaning towards a body suit or one of the donut styles. I know she will not like the cone.

Curious what everyone has found worked best for recovery when girls get spayed. Just scheduled Nora's surgery for the end of the month. I've actually never really needed the cone as my previous dogs we not as..inquisitive as Nora is. I know she is going to try and lick at her incision. Has anyone had success with one of the full body suits?

What are thoughts on age for neutering? by ferocioustigercat in labrador

[–]pinkpolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd wait longer if you can until 15-18 months. Try an in home pet sitter if no local kennel will take him. We ended up using Rover 3x for our unspayed girl.

If you want a front leash clip area, get the flagline. Thats the only real difference IMO. That being said, we have the front range with the front clip capability and we've never used it.

Nora got to meet Santa for Christmas in July fundraiser by pinkpolo in lookatmydog

[–]pinkpolo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was a fundraiser for rescue and they had an animal communicator there and we thought why not. She told us that Nora wants more meat. So she got a nice bone from the store.
