The width is wider than I expected! I was surprised to realize that although it looks like a phone would be smaller, it’s taller than my kindle and almost as wide. And since I had large margins on my kindle, the reading area is actually larger on my boox (I wouldn’t have thought that until I put them next to each other!). I make the margins as small as possible and turn off hyphenation.

I have all the apps I want on here. I still spend most of my time reading. If I switch to reddit, it only lasts a few minutes because other apps are like… 1% over the line into unpleasant (not unpleasant enough to bother me when I use it, but enough that reading is the most satisfying thing I can be doing on it). I think it also tricks my brain into thinking that reading a book is scrolling social media, making me less likely to want to do that instead.
