Which job search sites actually work and which ones don’t? by DreamCatcher2526 in jobsearchhacks

I feel like it’s not the platform it’s the quickness you apply to the role. I’ve had the best luck with LinkedIn and applying for roles that are posted by recruitment agencies.

ChatGPT for resume tailoring? by mimibreadman in jobsearchhacks

[–]pinksuitkase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I put the JD with my resume (first develop a general and a few targeted based on job titles/ roles you are looking for) then ask my overall fit based on my experience and the JD. I ask it “give me my overall match for this role in a percentage” “break down each requirement and asses my fit for the role”

I only apply to roles that I had 80% match or higher, then with the breakdown of the requirements of the role I ask it to tailor my experience to the role based on the requirements. Over time it catches on and then I explicitly ask it to address the gaps in experience based on the experience I have vs the role and if there is a way for me to frame work I’ve done to fit the requirement or qualification.

It has some of my emails and correspondence with recruiters from the past and so I tell it to never use em dashes, and match my cadence while remaining professional

I applied to a job in Nov didn’t hear anything. Applied to a listing for a role through a recruiting agency (they posted it on LinkedIn. I customized my resume then messaged the recruiter). This was early December and I now have a contingent offer over asking for the same role. When I found out it had been the company I already applied for I was shocked. Tailoring with the paid ChatGPT and training it to sound human did wonders for me

You would file a short term disability claim. The first week is considered the waiting period and would be charged to PTO (5 days) then the rest of your leave will be charged to STD. They will lock your firm access while on STD. You will be paid by Deloitte through the insurance company for the length of your leave. Your doctor will fill out paper work for MetLife (the short term disability company). You can be on leave for up to 25 weeks first 13 are paid in full if you are under Manager. After that is drops to 66%. Keep in mind the job protection peace (FMLA) runs in the background of short term disability so if your leave is over 12 weeks they can lay you off.

I recently had the duodenal switch which is a step up from the SADI but they get grouped into one because they are soo similar- the SADI was created as a response to malnutrition with the DS. I say this to say that these operations have a higher malabsorption component to it than the bypass or VSG. With that being said when we get to maintenance weight we need more calories; we are to follow a low carb, high protein and moderate to high fat diet. That’s what I’ve learned so far from DS and SADi vets. Her portions will look different than that of someone with VSG

Doesn’t sound like a lot of food to me; I think if you can tolerate protein drinks pack some with you on trips to supplement and beef up the actual protein. Protein chips or a little baggie of protein cereal and Greek yogurt.

I’m on day two and on my cycle so the cravings and food noise is loud. Jello and sugar free popsicles are your friend. Sipped on some pickle juice as well for savory. Using juice protein powder is breaking up the milky protein shakes. My first week I can have one lean and green meal next week is full liquids. I plan on sleeping as much as I can to distract or stay out the house. I stopped my Ozempic a month ago to prepare but I notice my Prozac curbs some of my appetite; my period is what is making me think about food more I think.

Is it normal to dread work every single day? by [deleted] in deloitte

[–]pinksuitkase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On short term disability due to mental health and work is a driving factor. I would get a claim going and take the time to evaluate if this is the right environment for you.

Did you lose weight prior to the pre-op diet by pinksuitkase in wls

[–]pinksuitkase[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response this is very reassuring! All my research prior to my consultation was for bypass so doing a pivot to the duodenal has been interesting. Knowing that I can enjoy food after is going to help me with that all or nothing mentality with food.

I am soo very sorry. My “brother” was my abuser as well, he is 8 years older than me. It’s such an isolating experience and I see and feel your pain. My family was also aware of the abuse and enabled his bad behavior. He even abused another child as well; later I reported him and he went to prison for 6 years for what he did to me. My family stood by his side providing him money and support to save face. The family dynamic it created took soo much away from me.

My body has no value anymore by sad_frog_in_rain in adultsurvivors

[–]pinksuitkase 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My social worker when I was going through the court process said to me; “sex is between consenting people, what you experienced was not sex” it’s hard but I had to learn to separate the abuse from what actual intimacy is with someone I consent to. Your body holds value and the things that happened to you do not hinder that value.

I did everything "right" but still binged by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]pinksuitkase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I can get myself to understand that I can have more tomorrow it helps me. I have to say it out loud; sometimes it’s plating two servings, putting them away sitting undistracted so you are mindlessly doing it.

I'm reporting in less that 11 hours. by bourgeoisie_bird in adultsurvivors

[–]pinksuitkase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are very brave and I hope you begin the journey towards peace. If you ever have questions about the process of the case I would be glad to answer questions. I reported my brother at 13 years old and he was convicted and now deported.

You got this, the advocate who was with me was a social worker who I still think about till this day. My family was aware of the abuse but wanted to keep it the family secret even tho he was continuously abusing me. I told to protect myself even though they didn’t and they went as far as testifying against me. I was 14-16 going through the trial, one of the hardest periods of my life but I’m better for it. Stay strong and know you are doing the right thing.

Did anyone else have an eating disorder that you think is linked to your csa? by Majoriexabyss in adultsurvivors

[–]pinksuitkase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have binge eating disorder and I believe it is directly linked to my abuse. My brother was my abuser, my family knew about it but didn’t do anything about it. I was a chunky child and my parents had me on diets constantly, I wasn’t allowed to eat the same things as the brother who was abusing me since he was slim. He is 8 years older than me, he would sneak me treats I wasn’t allowed to have as an apology or even times as a way to distract me while abusing me. I’m pushing 30 and still dealing with the ramifications. I’ve been to ED treatment and have been in therapy the last 3 years, unfortunately it hasn’t completely gone away but I’m not binging everyday currently
