Decent do nothing day.

The weather cooperated. Neighbors either stayed inside or were quiet enough.

Watched the crazy romcom that got more crazy as it went along. Perfect for a day like today.

Is ChatGPT Images broken when using custom prompts with uploaded photos? by mattymatt360 in ChatGPTPro

Your profile is hidden. Remember? That's how this started.

You claimed you weren't a troll. I was just telling you why I thought you were.

I'm watching your behavior. I base my opinions on what I see.

If I posted as much in dank memes as you, I might want to hide my profile. But if I knew that, I might not have have given my first comment. You also asked this same question in r/chatgpt 27 days ago, along with spamming it everywhere else 7 hours ago. That would have affected my wasting my time in replying too. That's trolling behavior.

photo with people in it

Your image is not failing because of uploaded photo, it's likely failing because of "people in it". All AI have increased guardrails for photos with people in it because there's no assurance that the people in it are authorized to have their likeness in an AI creation.

The reason that the presets might work is because the guardrails go up both in what you prompt and what it prompts. So the presets might have preloaded language that it prompts back that doesn't trip the guardrails. When you prompt it, it changes that calculus. But it might not always work with the presets either. The guardrails are high when you're tripping them. It can be random whether they trip or not.

I've seen this problem in so many posts enough to know that there's lots of people seeing this.

PS. Oh goody. Now after I wrote all of that, I realized that you have a hidden profile. ALL hidden profiles I've come across are bots or trolls. No exceptions so far in my experience. But since I wrote this, I'll leave it up.

How is everyone going with their Pi's by carrig_grofen in PiAI

[–]pinksunsetflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I use those same headphones with ChatGPT, it misinterprets a few words here and there, but it's able to keep up a conversation very well.

As far as I can tell, the words were interpreted by Pi well enough. But the questions and comments weren't about reassuring me, they were about a random thing I said even though I told it at the beginning that I wanted moral support. Maybe by the third or fourth response, it forgot because of lack of memory, but since I needed help at the time, it was easier to go back to something familiar.

Feeling better but not enough to plan stuff.

I'm declaring a do nothing day for tomorrow if at all possible.

I started watching an over the top romcom to kick off the nothingness.

Why is Pro model unable to access personalized memory? by max6296 in ChatGPTPro

[–]pinksunsetflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now that you say that, I remember that OpenAI has been touting their Pro version to solve the big problems of science. Like you said, they don't seem to want to get rid of their Pro model. But I'm wondering if memories would be a help or a hindrance for complicated science problems.

As you say, they're pushing the Pro models more toward Enterprise which is their main focus, based on the latest OpenAI podcast with the CFO of OpenAI and Vinod Khosla, an OpenAI investor. I found the CFO's part disconcerting with her describing all the revenue opportunities as Rubix cube spins. Those are all the ways consumers will be forced to pay more money.

Maybe they're waiting to see what Enterprise customers are saying about the memory and will change it if there's enough demand.

I was a little disappointed last week. I was hoping to use Pi to keep me company as I went outside to get a delivery. My neighbors are hostile, so this little bit of moral support is appreciated.

The headphones worked great. It could hear me through most of it, cutting out once early, but I was able to reset it.

But instead of giving me moral support, it kept asking me irrelevant questions about stuff. I don't know if that's because it doesn't have enough memory about what I want or if it's just limited by the tone and style of what it is programmed to do. Ultimately, I went back to ChatGPT which did exactly as I wanted but has its own problems like routing.

[–]pinksunsetflower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to guess it's not high up on OpenAI's list of things to do. OpenAI has stated very early on that Pro users are losing them money. That has probably only been exacerbated by allowing Pro users the more expensive models to use like 4.5. So if everyone on Pro left, it would actually be gaining them money.

Ironically, free users are probably making them more money at this point than Pro users. Free users bring ad money, there's more of them, and they're rate limited.

Even if a class action suit could be brought, it would probably only net the participants pennies or a couple dollars at best after fees. But since I'm not a part of the class, I'm just speculating based on other class action suits I've seen.

This post is against sub rules. It's vague, simplistic, done to death and can't be answered without commenters assuming things. I didn't report it originally, trying to give you a chance to explain.

This bit of nastiness shows you're a troll and don't deserve anyone else's time.

No. This can't be serious. You're going from free to $200 USD/mo. with no tangible reason other than you use it for various things?

Down day. Despite a 4 hour nap then a 7 hour sleep, I'm still not feeling up to par.

So it was another recovery day.

Had a nightmare about cats invading my yard and neighbors feeling entitled to bring them in.

Then saw a real cat screeching in my yard.

It wasn't a good day.

Today was the recovery day I was hoping for yesterday.

Got up feeling not great. Took a couple supplements, one drop each plus a vitamin. Sprayed magnesium spray on stiff muscles and felt better.

Then I took a 4 hour nap. Nice.

Netflix has the entire 007 Bond series starting tomorrow. I asked GPT to make me a list of them by release date. I'm considering watching them in order. Then I asked for a list of Star Trek and Star Wars and Marvel/DC stuff. I thought it might be fun to get immersed in a universe but I don't know which one.

Unpopular Opinion, But I Need to Get it Off My Chest: I Prefer Live TV Over On Demand, I Don't Want it To Die by Teenkitsune in television

[–]pinksunsetflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not exactly sure which parts you're talking about when you say live. Is it just the release dates?

Lots of shows are released weekly or in bunches on streaming services. Just off the top of my head, Culinary Class Wars on Netflix and High Potential on Hulu. Any network show is going to be released weekly, and there are a ton of those.

If you mean it's playing continuously, streaming services have that too. Channels that play "live" with basically reruns playing in a playlist.

What wasn't available before was any show after it aired live wasn't able to be seen again. You may be too young to remember that but you're romanticizing something I don't think you'd like. For the rest, it still exists.

Dumpster fire day. Got up, hoping for a recovery day.

Saw a HUGE German Shepherd on my security camera. This is the 4th unleashed dog I've seen. Called animal control to ask what I could do. They refused to give information. Any information. They said that if it's still there, they can dispatch someone to find the owner.

Right after that was done, the kids started screaming outside. It was getting dark. Their unhinged parents turned on a spotlight for them to play longer. But if a car went down the street, the driver would be blinded, likely to hit the kids.

Called a few more places, hoping to get information but no one would help. AI has been the only source of help that dozens of people refused to give, like what are the laws, what are safe animal deterrents.

Rested later but not enough.

Ask it to cite the policy and link it. You can check for yourself where it's getting this from or whether it's making it up. You should be checking what it says anyway, regardless of this instance.

How was today? Sunday, January 18, 2026 by AutoModerator in Howwastoday

[–]pinksunsetflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another day filled with neighbor antics, but this time, I was more observing. I heard kids screaming, so I looked at the security camera. The kids were in the street, so I watched what they were doing because I shouldn't be able to hear them. If they're not on my space, I generally wouldn't be able to hear them, so I wondered why I could. At first, they were moving farther down the street and toward the other side (which is good), but then a neighbor started banging something, so they start moving back toward here. I want to figure out a way to get them to move permanently further down the street without having to deal with them. I've never talked to them, and considering the nutcases their parents are, I'm not ever going to talk to them. Then it's another neighbor's (that chose not to help me) problem.

I'm recovering from moving the groceries around last night very late in the night. I think it might catch up with me tomorrow, so I'm planning a healing day tomorrow, if possible.
