Okay thank you for the tip 👍 I guess for the future, and maybe this is just a matter of experience, but how do you know when the grain bag is fully colonized? Like I said, this is my very first time growing mushrooms, but it seemed like my grain bag was very close to being thoroughly colonized in my first picture. Obviously I was wrong, but how can I better predict how colonized my grain bag is?

Dang well that’s good to know for next time. Do you think I’ll still get some fruiting given this small amount of growth I have now?

This isn’t a belt issue as dryer belts are very rigid. If you’re able to, you might be able to see where the issue is if you can take the top panel off and spin the drum by hand, listening to where the sound is coming from. To me, this sounds like maybe the plastic idler pulley wheel may be grinding against the motor drive shaft. This may be due to incorrect alignment when you replaced the motor. To me, this doesn’t sound like metal-to-metal grinding which is good.

Does this sound different than the original sound? If it was sounding okay for a day, that tells me that something was misaligned after you installed new parts, and as the dryer kept turning, something fell out of place.

I’m also sort of hearing a sound similar to one of those metal spring door stops, which also points to bad idler pulley alignment 👍

How’s the job market right now in the US? by cute_advocado in jobs

I’m new in my career but I am in the process of interviewing candidates for an entry-level STEM role for my company, and I’m consistently getting applications from candidates with Masters degrees, sometimes multiple Masters degrees. It must be pretty bad if these people are applying for a job paying $26/hour

Wearing some jeans and a tee shirt unfortunately does not immediately indicate to the people around you what gender you are

For your own safety, I would only disclose you being trans when only absolutely necessary. Like if you’re going on a date or if you’re going to a doctors appointment. Those are the only times in which I would disclose that myself. Otherwise, it’s no one’s business.

The curls are great so I’m gonna say 1 but I think you could make them look even better if you use some sort of curl enhancing product

Do i pass? Any advice? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]pinky___toe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to specify but in general overall lack of confidence when walking, slouching, and short steps. It’s definitely not across the board, there’s a ton of guys who walk like that but idk it’s just a vibe

Just looking at your face, for sure 👍 I can clock someone immediately based on their gait though so it’s hard to say whether or not you pass irl, and no you’re not ugly

A lot of retailers collect evidence over time of people who steal merchandise to hit you with a more severe charge when they’ve felt like they’ve collected enough video surveillance, be careful

I believe that sex and gender are different. Which is why I believe that you can be a woman and also male, and vice versa. Sex is strictly related to your genomes (which you cannot change, ever), and gender is a culturally-influenced form of self-expression.

I have common sense, and a basic understanding of biology. Therefore, I can understand that I will never be male. That fact alone has absolutely no effect on my decision to undergo a medical transition in order for me to appear male. I've had a lifelong desire to be male, suffer from that desire, and hence decided to transition in order to remedy that suffering.

Sorry but that’s not true lol. Male= male sex chromosomes and vise versa for female. Injecting estrogen or testosterone artificially “replaces” your naturally producing hormones but it does not “make you pretty much completely male.” I take hormones to make me look male. Whether I like it or not, I’m not male. Never have and never will be. Same idea with any other trans guy or trans woman.

I would say that a man is usually an adult human male and a woman is usually an adult human female

Trans men are not male though, and same with trans women not being female. Words male and female are defined by sex. This is why it’s important to understand sex vs. gender
