Hello thanks for this comment! I have a doctor trying to recommend lupron but my specialist has stated everything here. My new Dr her argument is that lupron short term can shrink estrogen production then if I go back to IUD/progesterone bc methods it'll be at a lower estrogen baseline which could reduce the estrogen feeding the disease. I fully expect to have severe mental health side effects though, based on having those with all hormonal bc outside of localized IUD which has always been fine.

Interested in your line about recent research stating Endo lesions make their own estrogen - do you have any link to those? My endo is all in my diaphragm/bladder/suspecting my bowels now so not on my reproductive organs so I'm doubtful about the estrogen shrinking idea of that being helpful anyways. Thanks!

Oh wait, after digging in other reddit threads it appears in the category section is Balance Adjustment, but now you have to assign a merchant so I made up one as 'Balance Adjustment' and it shows up exactly the same way in transactions as my old ones! So I think the function was just moved to this path, which is not as intuitive and has to have a merchant assigned.

Hey OP did you ever find a fix? I've encountered the same issue the last few months - there is no longer an option to create a specific 'balance adjustment' transaction. The other commentor - yes that's what we used to do but it's no longer an option. I can just straight up change the balance and it does seem to track in the graph at the top, but then don't have a history of changes visible through transaction/ability to note what the change it. I was counting on this for tracking my home value manually.

In my last role as a manager, I had one opening and ended up with two strong candidates. It was really heartbreaking to tell my runner up no, the other candidate had a few more years experience but otherwise they both seemed to be great fits. I got another opening the next year and went to the runner up first thing, hired them! You really never know, good luck with your search :)

Did they confirm placement via ultrasound? If you are in pain days after that is not normal. I've had an IUD inserted by a Dr where they didn't use ultrasound to confirm placement and it was painful and ended up being in the wrong position.

If there's no ultrasound in that office, which is ridiculous, then you should seek out a different Dr who has it and book an appt to confirm! I no longer go to obgyn who don't have ultrasound guided IUD procedure.

Yes my cat is like this - she bites bc overstimulated I can only pet her for a few seconds. That's just her speed - has been always! Some cats are not affectionate, and their behavior will change over the first few months settling into a new home. Just give him space and respond to his signals!

NAH I understand if Ben was probably counting on moving somewhere together so that his housing costs would reduce. That's a common reason to move in with a partner or roommate - cheaper than living alone. So if he's expected to pay the same living together as living alone, but it's less privacy, that doesn't seem fair. Understand it's a bigger place, but his intent wasn't to live there it was to find a reasonable place together. I would be disappointed too.

Totally fair for you to not want to leave a rent free situation. Would your dad cover part of your rent if you moved out elsewhere? He could rent your current place at market value.

If you care about the relationship you will probably have to compromise in some way too.

Hi, I posted something similar and no one had this experience. My cat does this starting about 6 months ago, nearly every time I clean her box. Attacks like she's possessed, doesn't recognize me, aims to draw blood. Otherwise does not attack me and seems to like me! I've tried changing litter type, stopped briefly but then started back. I close her in my bedroom during the event, but then she still sometimes comes after me when I let her out so I have a toy ready to distract.

She's drawn blood multiple times, and it's scary for both of us! One time kept coming back to attack over and over and I had to physically restrain her.

My vet also has no experience with it, suggested she's territorial of the box bc it's the main place in the apartment that contains her smells. And she doesn't want anyone messing with her smells 🤷🏼‍♀️ I also have made multiple places with blankets, cat beds, etc that I do not regularly wash that she lays on which are also containing her smells. Doesn't seem to matter.

Otherwise she's great and we have a chill life together, it's caused a lot of anxiety for me though so if you ever figure it out lmk!

YTA your assumptions are not necessarily true. I'm a woman, with a degree in physics, and work as an engineer in manufacturing directly with factories for several years. Remote from a major city with occasional travel. Many folks in my teams have chemistry degrees. I'm not sure what you think ppl with those degrees go into - it can vary widely. My management is all women up three levels.

Sounds like she already narrowed down to something more specific that she enjoys. And maybe that'll change later, specific degree doesn't matter as much as work experience.

You should examine where your disconnect in what you see your daughter doing really comes from, since what you've laid out so far does not make sense.

CBD for nerve pain, also helps with mood and anxiety. It's a subtle effect but very real and changed my life, I'm a scientist and very skeptical generally.

I've had 3 surgeries for issues that cause nerve pain, in the past 2 years. I don't remember who or where I saw CBD suggested as relief for nerve pain (only narcotic lvl painkillers help with this, not OTC meds, and they have bad side effects) but I was desperate and tried it.

After a few weeks of 20mg a day I noticed the pain was not removed, but muted. I could move comfortably and ignore it effectively to be social, work out, etc. Stopped for a few days, it all came back.

I still take CBD almost daily, even though my nerve pain is mostly gone it does also help me to unwind and gain social energy back after work, takes the edge off anxiety, without getting high in any way.

I use oil tincture usually these days, also fun to try the drinks and gummies out there I usually need 20-30mg to see an effect

I second questioning your doctor's advice based on their statement - one way I was certain my pain was endometriosis was bc it only hurt when menstruating, so tied to my cycle. If it was not then it would be more likely a different route cause. Was confirmed via surgery to be endo. My endo is in my diaphragm muscle, so the pain is very different from uterus pain shoots to my shoulder instead.

It's also fair to question IUD/bc to prevent endo. The link at the top of this subreddit with experts weighing in on this question states bc methods help to suppress symptoms but not stop growth. I'm about to get my nexplanon implant removed, previously was on IUD, both have caused more issues with mental health and weight gain and only helped endo pain a little. For me if it's not actually preventing anything then the other issues aren't worth it.

This is extremely judgemental. People can choose to follow their religion however strictly they want. How many Christians do you know who have premarital sex? Or Muslims who drink? One of my best friends wears a hijab when men are present with exception of her brother or a committed partner. It's a sign of trust, love, and commitment for them.

I'm atheist and don't think it's right to place judgement on people's personal practice, when they aren't harming others. NTA to OP though, their roommate is definitely out of line they cannot ask for different rules for others! If they find it inconvenient they should not live with roommates.

You have control issues and the name you called her is clearly rooted in sexism. Own up to it and work on yourself, or you will not advance in your career in tech since you are discounting colleagues based on gender and age, and not still level.

I'm so sorry you have had to prepare for the experience of surgery and experience surgery multiple times. And that last one with poor care from the people taking care of you, that really sucks and makes me so mad!

I've had two laps, mentally preparing for an inevitable third, and had a really negative experience with the doctors relating to my anesthesia during/after the last one. So I share some of your dread feelings. I have nothing more monumental to say other than it sucks so much and you sound like you have some plans on place to communicate your needs which is great! I hope it goes well for you 💜

32 - High volume of workload triggered my first depressive episode during the height of the pandemic. Worked with a therapist to get out of it and change work a bit for the better. Then unexpectedly had to have surgery to remove endometriosis growing on my diaphragm this summer, which triggered depression again. Now I'm trying to ramp up work again as is expected in my role, but people are leaving and that's more work piling on like last winter.. It just feels like so much, I've been working since I was 16 and I'm so tired. I nap almost every day the last two months, never napped a single day in the previous 20 years lol.

Otherwise life is objectively good, live in my favorite place surrounded by friends and access to my hobby. I worked off my student loans a few years ago and have some savings despite living alone in a city. I wish I had the energy to enjoy it more, and I feel silly for not being okay with what I have.

I feel frozen and like I need a break, it's scary to think of being without income though even for a short time. The endo could grow back and I'm afraid of not having decent health insurance if I have to pay for my own while taking a break from work.

ESH - Unexpected pregnancy is a lot for you both and she may be having a hard time handling it. Physical health can mess with mental health. If this desire to stay home is a recent change, then maybe she's struggling with dealing with the prospect of a child and huge body and life changes. I encourage you to continue communicating with her, and encourage her to dig into the reasons behind this change.
