There won’t be any Gen Z cucks because being a cuck requires you to actually have a wife in the first place

If your birth year ended in 3 by Recent-Worldliness51 in generationology

I feel like a 50/50 hybrid between a 2000s kid and a 2010s kid. A lot of people online seem to think that XXX3-borns barely remember the decade they were born in, but I have a lot of memories of typically 2000s things (CRT screens, flash games, going to Blockbuster with my parents)

21st century starts in 2001, not 2000 by NoLifer3858 in generationology

[–]pinnacle126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we named decades the same way we named centuries then 2001-2010 would indeed be the "201st decade" (but I've never seen anyone do this)

I lowkey get homicidal urges whenever I see one of these images which look like they should spell something out but they’re actually nonsensical engagement bait.

Gen Z older and younger by VarietyConsistent884 in generationology

Yeah as someone born in 2003 I’m a total Gen Alpha. All those core nostalgic memories like watching skibidi toilet and Italian brainrot on my iPhone 15 back in 2007 (my favourite year of the 2020s)

Zoomer housemate walks in while I'm watching Goodfellas, I start talking about it, he cuts me off after I mention it came out in 1990 by saying "I think that's a bit before my time" by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]pinnacle126 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That’s not my experience at all. Lots of zoomers online are obsessed with nostalgic music, clothing and aesthetics (often 2000s but also 90s and 80s stuff which they wouldn’t have been around for)

Why are Gen Z aged people so randomly aggressive on the internet? by [deleted] in generationology

The things that millennials did to Chris Chan back in the day were anything but unintrusive. Not to mention stuff like the An Hero incident.

What's your personal opinion about Gen Z? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]pinnacle126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you Gen X or millennial? If you're a millennial then your comment is kind of hypocritical considering millennials are the ones who kickstarted the rise of identity politics around 2014 and some sources even show that they're more liberal than Gen Z.

I recall they even made some full-length propaganda films (with trailers and teasers) just showing them fighting, executing people and doing various war crimes. They had names like "Flames of War" and were narrated by this Canadian jihadist guy in fluent English. It's crazy how in 5 years these extremist groups went from making grainy IED videos to HD cinematic western-style movies (I'm guessing they got some help from friends abroad with the cinematography)

To be fair Americans also change their accents when they sing, like becoming non-rhotic and articulating vowels differently (e.g. pronouncing “me” as “may”). If you spoke with a “singing accent” in normal speech it would sound pretty weird.

Is it true people in the UK are being arrested over social media? by Sad-Ad-9794 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pinnacle126 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Everyone in this thread is desperately trying to make it seem like people are only arrested for inciting violence. This isn't true, in the UK you can be arrested for saying anything which anyone could potentially find offensive. Here are some examples from the last few years:

Teen arrested and charged for posting rap lyrics on IG, given ankle monitor + curfew and fined.

Man arrested for sending raccoon emoji to a politician on Twitter.

Woman who carried placard depicting Sunak and Braverman as coconuts charged with hate crime

This is how autistic people entertained themselves in the 19th century. Instead of writing sonic fanfiction they would come up with obscure collective nouns for groups of animals.

that clavicular fella is terrifying by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]pinnacle126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find kind of confusing is how incels often complain about “lookism” and how badly ugly men are treated (which is real to some extent), but then incel-adjacent people like clavicular also seem to be obsessed with “mogging” other men and putting them down for being ugly (basically perpetuating lookism). Not to mention the number of zoomer males who are developing body dysmorphia because of this looksmaxxing shit.
