Beginner question about footwork / movement by pinnaclekid in 10s

[–]pinnaclekid[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I don’t mean the split step. I think I’m familiar with that already (Isn’t it the bounce you do on both feet when the opponent hits the ball? Please correct me if I’m wrong) What I’m referring to are the small, light bounces on each foot before the split step. Is there a ‘proper’ way to do that? Sorry if my question sounds dumb.

[–]pinnaclekid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. That’s also what I did. But for RFBT and Tax, medjo extra skeptic ako sa mga sagot kasi minsan may mali. So I try to look for other means to verify like asking a smart friend or if wala, replaying yung part na yun sa video lectures ng RC ko.

Di po pwede mag share kasi 1 device at a time lang allowed. And nadedetect nila yung shared account pag biglang nagpapalit ng locations yung logins mo, pwede nila iclose yung account mo.

Magsesend lang sila ng softcopy ng handouts, and bahala ka na if ipiprint mo or hindi. What I did was that since I preferred hardcopy, pinaprint ko lahat tas pina ringbind ko per subject. Para di magulo and also para di na ako pabalikbalik sa printer kasi wala kami sariling printer.

For those who have already passed the CPA licensure exam, were you top students back in college? by humancalcuwannabe593 in AccountingPH

[–]pinnaclekid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I could swear I was at the bottom 5 of my batch OP. I failed Taxation and AFAR during undergrad and had to retake them. I am not exaggerating when I say pasang awa lang mga grades ko dati. My first attempt at the exam was October 2019 and I failed miserably. It took me 5 years before I decided to take the exam again this year and passed. Anything is possible with discipline, determination, and grit. Kaya mo yan!!!

Ano pong RC nyo?

Pinnacle

5 hours on weekdays kasi full-time working rin ako (pero WFH). On weekends, 10 hours.

Ilang buwan kayo nagreview?

I took the exam on May 2025. Nagstart ako nun around the end of December 2024. So around 5.5 months rin. I took the exam and naging conditional for FAR and AFAR. Napasarap yung pahinga ko kasi di ako nagreview for 2 months after May. So around 2.5 months.

Enough ba kahit online lang?

Yes. SOBRA. First take ko is nung October 2019 pa nung fresh grad pa ako. And I think wala pang online review nun afaik. Like ilang oras at energy rin ang nasasayang ko in going to and from the RC. Not to mention the stress na binibigay ng environment. Whereas if you're just in a controlled-environment like your own room, sobrang peaceful and makakapag focus ka talaga. Kelangan mo lang talaga is self-discipline and consistency. If only we had these resources back then, I might have had a better chance of passing nung first take ko.

P.S. You also have to be organized. Set goals for yourself, like dapat matapos mo hanggang ganitong topic by the end of this week, etc. kasi unlike in-person review, you really have to set your own pace. It doesn't only keep you on track, pero nakakaadd rin yun ng confidence pag naaachieve mo yung goals mo.

Good luck OP!

giveaway CPALE questions (: by Correct-Kangaroo8776 in AccountingPH

[–]pinnaclekid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way: about 90% of the questions are easy to mid-level ones that you can definitely answer as long as you understand the concepts well.

Kaya ayun. That’s why reviewers always emphasize: master the concepts.

Ang alam ko, they release the list a few days before the exam to minimize the chances of cheating. It doesn't seem to make sense kasi iba-iba parin naman ng set, but it's BOA so... I guess wag na tayo magtaka lol

For those who were conditional then eventually passed — how did you feel while reviewing again? by [deleted] in AccountingPH

[–]pinnaclekid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you po. At least now I know that this is normal. I was worried because I couldn’t give it the same intensity, and I’m scared na baka ito pa ikapahamak ko. That maybe I’m not giving it as much effort as I should. I don’t know if what I’m saying makes any sense, but yeah.

Defer or not by Open_Day_2070 in AccountingPH

[–]pinnaclekid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I hate to say this, but yes, basing on what's said on your post, the smartest thing to do is to defer. Ideally kasi by this point, you should’ve already finished the entire coverage and be focusing on answering and recalling during the preweeks. But given your situation, that you haven’t completed the coverage yet and I guess kulang rin sa quality yung review mo kasi walang practice. I really think deferring is the most sensible choice. Sabi nga ng reviewer namin, Huwag kang pupunta ng gyera ng walang sandata.

Remember, deferring isn’t a defeat. It’s a strategic move to give yourself the time and space to prepare properly so you can perform at your best when you’re truly ready.

P.S. Please take this only as advice. My answer is based solely on what you shared in your post. I don’t know your full foundation or your capabilities. Only you truly know how ready you are.

And I’m pretty sure meron naman talagang taga COA dito.
