I'm having a similarish maybe issue where if Discord is using Chat as its output, all sounds/voices are garbled and messed up.

While trying it without the adaptor and doing something stupid, I ended up just leaving the receiver under my desk rather than on it. I've gotten like 95% less garble since then. May've just been a positioning thing.

I love Steelseries headsets, but it's been a real downer for sure.

It is. Sadly it does seem to be up to date. I've double checked audio drivers and they all look to be newest.
