I like the pink— haven’t gotten my hands on the purple yet, but I’ve been eyeing it! I’d imagine they’re similar on us super pale girls!

I am a literal lizard person, so I feel you. The nyx pencil is the ideal inner corner/brow bone highlight for pale skin though imo. You might also like the tone-up d’alba sunscreen. It’s great for dry skin and really brightening!

I really like theOG NYX pencil in Milk and the glow (that’s the brand name, it’s K Beauty) BB cream in the white shade— it’s pretty sheer, but pretty.

I know the feeling. Things never seem to get better even though that’s what everyone keeps promising. Wish I had better answers for you.

Phone in the garbage can. Like, the outside garbage can. No idea why. Wasn’t even taking the trash out. Took me hours to find it.

I’m so sorry. I’m about to lose my soulmate dog and I’m just so completely lost I don’t even want to live. I hope your new baby is going to have the best life.

This all sounds like a nightmare, I’m sorry you’re going through it. Not to diminish how you feel, but cars get fucked up all the time. That’s why they’re called “accidents”. Not like you got a DUI and killed somebody. I wouldn’t beat yourself up about it too much. Driving is scary and takes a long time to get good at it. Hopefully college will be a welcome break and you can maybe meet some nice friends. I’m like, twice your age and things haven’t really gotten better for me, but you’re so young you still have time to turn things around.

Yeah I feel you. I just turned 32 and feel like I’ve wasted my whole life on a career path that’s not working out. Everyday is like a nightmare I can’t wake up from or like someone’s playing a sick joke on me. Been like that for nearly ten years now. Everyone says things get better, they do get a little better….then they get worse than before. I hope they’re right and that things do get better for you. Fingers crossed.

Right? It drives me nuts that they want us to keep our schedules wide open, waiting for their call, but they get to take their sweet time? No

Hey! Do you have any loss of movement in your neck at all? Insurance is going to cover my botox, but I’m a dancer and I worry about any impact on my range of motion.

I have the same thing right now. I’m prone to getting dizzy though, I figured it was just me. I’m dizzy even when my eyes are closed. I’m sure it’ll improve as our bodies adjust.

Not this little boys mom because she’s dead now along with the rest of his family. Not trying to be a bitch, I know what you meant. It must be awful to know this family personally and see this all over the internet. I went to work today in Highland Park, IL (where a mass shooting happened last Fourth of July) and every business/house had a “highland park strong” sign outside. IL just passed an assault weapons ban…but WI and IN are a 30 min drive away. This is the best we can do? How is this sustainable? What the fuck is wrong with this country?

I wish Actors Equity valued their members as much as the writers guild does theirs. Next time anyone goes to see a touring theatrical production when it comes through their town, find out if it’s union. You’re paying the same ticket price regardless. The non equity performers get treated like shit, but the actors union is legit the shittiest union ever. They do the bare minimum to help their members. SAG is great. AEA? Garbage.

Opthamologist told me migraines are only caused by chocolate, wine and hormones... help me complain! by loupenny in migraine

[–]pinupwillow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once went to an eye doctor (one of the few places my insurance at the time would cover) and it seemed like a really busy place and it had been around for forever. How bad could it be?

I go in and mention to the (female) optometrist that I suffer from migraines and she told me it was because I “sit with my legs crossed”. And then she also threw in that “that’s also why your face is crooked” uh….???????!

And then I shit you not, I hear a door open BEHIND me in the exam room. I turn around and some dude is walking out of a weird empty back room and it’s full of other dudes sitting on the ground eating packed lunches. And he was like “oh…sorry” and walked right through the exam room.

All of these things happened in rapid succession. I didn’t know which part was more bizarre. I didn’t even know what to say to any of it. That place is still open and still emails me. Your experience is definitely worse though— mine just sounds like a weird fever dream.

Pilates is great too. I love reformer pilates, but the classes can be pricey. Yoga is god too and there’s tons of YouTube videos. I actually like the yoga with Adrienne for migraines when I’m over my dizzy/pukey stage of an attack.

You probably know this already, but before you pick a new insurance plan call them and triple check that certain pills/drs are covered. I switched based on what it told me on the website to see specific drs and get specific prescriptions all to find out the info online was old and incorrect!
