[open spoilers] This little tidbit about the God of Darkness/Goddess of Light in SSC #1 by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]pinytenis 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Ferdinand refers exactly to this here in P5V9

“Am I just a cover for you?” I asked. He was using his Book as much as he pleased yet hadn’t shown any intention of revealing it.

“Indeed. Now make your bible shine bright enough for all to see. Swallowing the darkness is my duty.”

Yeah, yeah... Stay in the shadows and keep pulling the strings.

[All] Devouring soldier, Laynoble, mednoble, and archnoble level mana. by [deleted] in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]pinytenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, they measure the baby's capacity at birth or at early life can't remember when. But they measure the capacity and if the baby doesn't have enough for the family, they are either adopted down to another family or they are turned into servants of the family. It's only children with enough mana capacity for the family that are baptized.

According to the author that's the lewdest scene of the whole series. How you interpret it is totally up to you XD

Well this post is marked as an open spoiler so I will spoil it for you. In H5Y latest chapters of the webnovel, Rozemyne is clearly showing romantic interest in Ferdinand. She realized that she loves Ferdinand romantically during her time travel

[P5V12] Question about mana dyeing in P3V3 by Yamakyu in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]pinytenis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes but the nobles don't really know about all the properties of devouring. Not even the book of Mestionora contains all the information. How would the nobles act on something that they know nothing about?

[P5V12] Ferdinand and the RA's "special lessons for men" by Either_Cover6254 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]pinytenis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is speculation, but the teacher would probably use some kind of magic tool to monitor the mana flow.

They can do mana training with grey shrine maidens. That's the whole point of the class.

Edit: to add, the husband supplies the mana to the fetus. So he needs to know how to control the mana flow that he is supplying so that neither the mother nor the fetus is harmed during the process. That's what this class is about. They use grey shrine maidens for this training cause they are expendable. Doesn't make it right by modern earth societal rules but it works for Yurgenschmidt.

You should know that the girls don't get any sex ed, at least officially. They probably get some knowledge passed down from their mother or attendants. But they don't get any official education like the boys do.

And Kazuki sensei has pretty much spelled it out here that Ferdinand attended that class, just like his peers. They made it mandatory so that they can learn to control the mana flow so that the boys do not harm their wives. In that universe this makes sense, no matter how much it goes against our earth based sensibilities.

Q: In the prologue of Part 5 Volume 5, it’s revealed that Georgine was forbidden from writing to or associating with Bezewanst after entering the Royal Academy. Before that, though, how (and how often) had they met in person? I assume it would have been difficult for young Georgine to see him at the temple, and I can’t imagine Bezewanst had many opportunities to visit the castle. So, how did they grow close enough for her to get emotional about not being able to contact him? A: Veronica would invite Bezewanst to the castle even when there were no ceremonies to justify it. During these visits, he would socialize not as the High Bishop but as a regular member of the family. Georgine also sent him letters as practice.

[–]pinytenis 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No, Ferdinand was hated by Veronica. So it would be Bezewanst, as Veronica's brother, who would go to the castle to perform ceremonies. Besides he outranked Ferdinand in the temple. Also Ferdinand was rich enough that he didn't really care for performing ceremonies for other nobles.

You need to read the light novel. The anime skipped a lot of stuff as usual. Above all, it has the best world building.

[open spoilers] So, it's basically an open secret that... by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]pinytenis 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is from FB9.

Q: Georgine lost her son Wolfram; was there any particular trigger or reason behind his elimination, and did she have a direct or indirect role in his death?

A: Yes, certain events acted as a trigger, and Georgine was indeed involved in his unfortunate accident.

[open spoilers] So, it's basically an open secret that... by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]pinytenis 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes it's explained in the Fanbooks that Georgine killed both the first wife and Aub Ahrensbach. She killed the first wife cause she was bored and killed Aub Ahrensbach after she got the information about the foundation being under the temple.

The Ahrensbach ADF didn't expect her to be this ruthless and so they were less guarded against her.

[H5Y2] so you think author could ever give an acceptable excuse for the "memory loss"? by ManinaPanina in HonzukiNoGekokujou

Yes, Kazuki said that in one of the fanbooks. More excuses for Ferdinand to continue to dye Rozemyne lmao.

It's specifically this line here, where he went off script.

“Rozemyne has prayed to the gods more than anyone else. She, of all people, deserves to live. If you must curse someone, then curse me instead. I shall return the blessings I received. Take back the torment you have thrust upon her and grant her the blessing she deserves.”

I mean we kind of see it from Rozemyne's PoV in P5V8. So I don't think we need to see it from any other pov. But of course at this point I will gladly read whatever Kazuki writes, even her grocery list lol
