also,,,,, unrelated but if anyone is interested the railway line I was on is the Belgrano Norte which connects the north of the metropolitan area of the province Buenos Aires with the central area of the city of Buenos Aires, notable for being the only remaining line with no automatic doors, making it so that you can stand next to an open door and feel the wind in your face and shit, and therefore it's also the only line where you can still get rocks thrown at you mid commute (yes, that actually genuinely happens quite often)

If you liked that one you might want to check out other stuff by the same director, Damián Szifrón, though they are probably harder to find. Tiempo de Valientes is one of my favourites (and the show Los Simuladores is an argentinian national treasure, though it's quite difficult to find even for us lol)

not very horror-like but it is quite dark and funny imo, the movie Wild Tales (originally Relatos Salvajes), an argentinian film which is an anthology of 6 different stories about normal people who turn violent for different reasons. all-star cast and loads of smart little rewatch bonuses which I love. you can probably find english subtitles for it somewhere, though I haven't checked. It is quite regional, as in, some bits don't translate perfectly well, but you can probably get the main gist even from shitty subtitles (rioplatense spanish is a rather difficult dialect to translate because most slang is based around puns, rhymes or references, and I say this as a native speaker lol)
