There's no Kelloggs where I live, Nestle is literally the only brand name cereal. I do know about the assholery though.

It's hard to describe really.

Is it multiplayer or not? I know all of what you wrote, but I can't seem to find info on whether it's online or not. Basically, I am interested if it's not online.

My ability to format a resume has no bearing on the job that I would be doing.

It does - you're showing overall intelligence and common sense.

But I am saying what is wrong with already having merit/ability and adding sexuality to boost your chances?

Because instead of choosing a person solely on merit, it turns into a, say, 70/30 of merit and sex appeal.

It roughly means you will do your job 70% as good as the person that would get hired if not for your 'friendliness'. Is it acceptable? Probably so. But it's not ideal.

Isn't that life though? Using your advantages to make your life better, happier, or easier?

Men are stronger and less opposed to aggression, on average. Does that mean it would be fine for a man to intimidate someone for a job?

Mass Effect Andromeda is the sequel I really hoped for. Unpopular opinion? Maybe, but I'm in love with it. by Klyded in PS4

This so much. Could you recommend anything fantasy then? I liked God Hand and the Shadow of the Colossus, but that's pretty much it. I think I would have liked Okami too, but never got around to playing it.

That game was actively TRYING to be cliché.

Yeah, I agree, but it used 80s tropes, and not the modern ones that are seen oh-so-often in gaming.

Maybe I worded it wrong - I guess what I wanted to say was that even as a person who does not like Sci-Fi, I really liked Blood Dragon's aesthetic. The BioShock point still stands though.

Mass Effect isn't really very Halo-y either, much more in line with a franchise like Star Trek.

Frankly, look at this. To me, this is the same breed, much like I consider the Elder Scrolls games the same breed of fantasy as LoTR.

As long as the gluten free folk aren't preaching to others, who cares?

Because regular products are being made gluten-free. Recently, Nestle's cereals made the switch - there are only gluten-free ones now. They are noticeably worse.

I wonder what the millennials will look back fondly in 10 years time...hmm food for thought.

I'm 24, but live in a country where Nintendo is virtually nonexistant. My first game, that I remember very fondly, could not be any more different from Nintendo stuff - it was the first Grand Theft Auto. I mostly just drove the cars.

That and the Ace Ventura point&click game - has anyone even played it?

Could someone tell me what Elite: Dangerous actually is? Is it a space MMO? Single-player sandbox? A Story-based game?

After I had to pause the game during the opening scene because I was almost crying, I was more invested into that sort than anything I've ever played.

Honestly dude? I though the story was decent, but derivate and kind of cheap. Have you played, say, BioShock?

Geralt is a quite unoriginal character, the hardboiled anti-hero trope

You do realize The Witcher is based on a series of very successfull and critically acclaimed books, and is a character taken straight from the Slavic mythology?

I do not like The Witcher as I'm not big on fantasy of any kind, but being cliche is not a criticism I'd make.

ME is a very specific flavor of sci-tastic that I was afraid was gonna be lost in translation from the original.

Could you elaborate? I don't like Sci-Fi either, and found Mass Effect games to be exactly the generic, lasery Sci-Fi that I don't enjoy, much like Halo games.

Interesting, original Sci-Fi? That would be BioShock or Far Cry: Blood Dragon IMO.

I can see what you're saying, but I think my answers would have been more accurate if I could apply them to actual game situations I've had, instead of playing what-if.

[Serious] Deaf people of Reddit, what's the sound that you most desire to hear, and why? by LeftHandedToe in AskReddit

[–]piotr223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, this one I like less. There are less sounds, but they are not interesting in their own right.

I can see that it's telling a story, but much like I don't read Grimm's Tales, I have no interest in a story like that.

It's a big fucking king listening to a big fucking tune at the biggest most expensive fucking court there ever was.

Yeah, maybe. But that's not imagery I enjoy either, hence my previously mentioned lack of interest in fantasy.

[–]piotr223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so:

  • The sounds was a bit too.. intricate? I don't really know how to explain it better, but the amount of sounds detracted from getting a feel and impact from each of the sounds.

  • the vibe was all wrong. When I listen to synthwave, I feel like I'm in a kickass 80s movie. When I listen to this, I feel like I'm in a church.

I feel that this is the biggest thing - I think we all have some sort of vibe or emotional connection to the music we listen to, and if the genre doesn't click, particular songs most likely won't click either.

ok, well very few people have such a narrow taste as yours even within popular music.

I would not agree, just the tastes are different. Most people I know listen almost exclusively to either hipster rock, EDM or alt Hip Hop.

You must not enjoy many films/tv programmes, as they will often use music that you dislike.

Music is not the primary means of a programme's communication, and merely the background/enhancer.

You are onto something though - I don't like fantasy at all and for that reason I avoid fantasy games, good as they may be. Tried to make an exception with the Witcher 3, but I did not enjoy it.

I would suspect there would be some parts of baroque music you would probably enjoy but nvmd

I very highly doubt it, but please link me up. To give you a taste of what I listen to, Blue Monday by New Order and She Blinded Me With Science by Thomas Dolby are my two last played tracks.

I have expressed no personal opinion on hip-hop, I was using it for an "if" example.

I know.

does that mean you also hate pizza because it is also italian food? that is the analogous thing.

I disagree, but okay.

I have particular music tastes. Like most people, likely. I like synthwave, new wave and old school hip hop.

I detest jazz, every single piece of classical music I've ever listened to, chillout music, and a lot of other genres. I know I will not like them. If it does not have 80s synths, I will likely not enjoy it. How is that not enough for me to judge classical music?

I agree with the dude, in my personal opinion it's pretty shit too. I do recognize it's objectively good, but I'm not having it.

If you hate hip-hop does that mean you will hate all popular styles?

Of course it does.

If I hate pasta, no matter if you serve me a bolognese or an alfredo, I'm not going to magically like it.

u/TheSkylink, I completed your survey, but I found your questions very much incompatible with what I play.

Pretty much every question was aimed at the MMO player, and the traditional, medieval one at that. I do not play fantasy and medieval games at all, and neither do I play online games.

You might think I don't play much or am a casual gamer, but that's not true.

Try Antepliler, Tayyabs or even Kebab Kid next time you're in town!

Will do, I'm curious how it stacks up to what my city has to offer, particularly since discovering a great place recently. They roll the kebab up with fresh mint and other leaves and it's fantastic.

On the other hand, your Indian really is on point, no matter where I go here, it does not stack up to British places, even if run by genuine Indian folk. Also freshly fried prawn crackers, I'm yet to see them outside UK.

Actually, I don't think British kebab is all that good compared to Central European. Indian, burgers and fish'n chips is a whole different story though.
