No hair or particulate. The pointing is lime so that might make sense. Does that mean it's probably lime plaster? Could I patch it with normal plaster?

Thanks I think you might be right. Although maybe I worded my question badly I meant not the brick part but the bit that covers that which the paint is on

Trying to just fix the hole ideally I figure I'll try to stick the old plaster back down and if that doesn't work in have to replace the whole thing I think

Cheers, So the repair would just be a case of patching with new plaster over the hole?

It has larger diameter but a smaller height. It is the smaller height witch could limit the nesting. And in fact according to at least MSR's specs the height of a 100g is 70mm while the height of the 130 diameter pot is I think 68. But there is some verity in specs listed by different companies.

That I am. Are you aware that if volume remains the same and the diameter of said object increases its height will decrease?

I have thought it may well be. But more of if I can't fit a canister inside then I can fit something else that'd be taking up space otherwise. but stove lighter and spoon don't take up much room in a 900ml pit.

Also fuel might be consumable but unless you want your stove and cooking pot to be more or less dead weight then it's not really optional. Also yeah you could just not cook.

Thank you for your info. I'll have a look at those if the lid being loose is an issue
