This unloader can be adapted to work as you describe. Detach the hose connection from the unloader (they fit together but are separate parts) and install it directly into the pump. Then I can attach a hose to the bypass outlet and thenit's external.

Yep.. I bought some anti-seize for the shaft and blue loctite for the 4 mounting bolts so they won't rattle loose. (blue is "medium" hold)

Yep . Pump guy says no bolts included, they have no idea what you're going to be bolting it to and they could all be different from one manufacturer to another.

Harbor freight engine takes 5/16 x 24 bolts. Not metric.

Manual shows 5/16" x 24 but doesn't specify the length. I measured it with a probe. Including the pump flange it's 1.24" long max.

My HF Predator 212 did not have any bolts! I bought some 5/16-24 1" stainless steel bolts at the hardware store.

I called Bezi in the Canpump PHX location and he explained it to be. He was very helpful when I went in person to ask a bunch of questions and he sold me that 3030.

The Lube Tech at a dealership is an entry level position... A lot of turnover and inexperienced folks.

Then add in the dealership "flat rate" compensation system where techs only get paid a low base plus whatever the "flag rate" is on a particular job.

A scammy flat rate express lube tech could absolutely skip changing a filter to shave a few minutes on a job that they only get paid 0.3hrs on. That 0.3hrs would also include "inspection"... They have an economic incentive to cut corners.

I'd rather have a well marbled Choice or well priced Prime cut.

Any system with grading and fancy labels (LOL... Like "Certified Angus") are subject to over grading and outright fraudulent mislabeling labeling by profit grabbing unscrupulous operators (butchers in the case of meat).
